You do realize that tanks are heavily armored and choppers are not whatsoever? Also it takes 2 RPG shots to take down a tank.
It does not take 2 shots, I'm almost always playing as an engineer and I've never taken down a tank with 2 RPGs. They go down with 2 Javelin, but not the SMAW or RPG.
Joe and I in the same squad is basically the virtual equivalent of us plowing a rape van through an elementary school playground at recess.

I'm starting to love playing as Support. Double clip size on my machine gun; c4/claymores; dropping ammo like it's my day job...the good life. And a shit load of points.

Doesn't it depend where you hit?

Does it? I don't really know that.

It depends which side you hit and it also depends on the angle of the rocket to the armor. Ideally you want to hit the rear of the tank with a straight-on shot.

I love Sienne, but it can turn into a complete shitshow with 64 players.

I think Firestorm is my favorite overall though. Tehran Highway is really good too.

I like Tehran in conquest, but it can get pretty boring on rush. Same thing with Caspian Border.

I generally like all the maps. However...Damavand Peak and Operation Metro on 64p Conquest need to go fuck off and die.

I think my favorites are Grand Bazaar and Caspian Border.

Where are the flags in Damavand Peak on PC? On consoles it's on the tunnel, where the last 2 m-comm stations are in rush, and they're only 3. I hope this is not the case with 64 players.

Also, Assault is the best. Dropping health is a solid point getter but where it really gets great is in revives. You get 110 points per, more than you get for a kill.

Damavand Peak, Sienne Crossing, Kharg Island, and N(-something) Canals (all on Rush).

I played CQ a few times and didn't really like it. I like the team-objectives and frontline-like atmosphere that comes with Rush.

I really wish they would implement the sequenced control points like the Project Reality mod did. It was great cause it combined the back and forth gameplay of CQ with the focused front lines of rush.

How did that work? You control all the objectives and then they changed?

Basically you had to capture the points in a specific order, so you couldn't like dash to the enemy's first point way behind the front lines and ninja cap it.

What I wanted to ask: I remember Battlefield to be mostly about longer-range combat and open spaces, with not much close combat and room for SMGs and stuff. Is this different in BF3 or still kinda like that?

Should I get this game instead of Uncharted 3? Cause the commercials look pretty sweet even though I'm not a 1st shooter guy.

Yeah its like that, most of the maps are very huge, just a few of them are in smaller areas. There still is lots of close combat regardless though.

I guess I need to check it on youtube or something. It seems to be one of those times for me when I'm like itching to get myself a new game :P and I think I'll hold to my promise and end my long love affair with CoD series at Black Ops.

So last night I'm playing conquest on Operation Firestorm and me and a friend are on the jets since the beginning of the match, ruling the air, pwning the other teams jets/choppers and just general awesomesauce. Then when the other team's ticket counter reaches about 30, both our jets suddenly exploded and we "suicide'd"... but the thing is we were not close to the ground, we didn't crash into anything, no heat seeking missiles hit us, the jets just exploded! It was like the game went: "You guys need to let other people use the jets!"

Has this occur to anyone else?

I'll let you know in about 12 years after I've learned to pilot a jet well enough to last that long.
