well my overall k/d is 0.67. not too fussed about it since i'm usually getting highish scores in each round - hopefully now i've unlocked the m249 it might increase a bit...

The M249 has become my weapon of choice. Barely even gave the PKP a look when I unlocked it.

The PKP is godawful!

Score is all that matters. Attack those objectives or kill everyone who gets near them. Nothing else matters.

So all you play is deathmatch? Because you're missing out on the best aspects of BF if you do!

I find the statement "you have to play Conquest to get the true BF experience" to be hilarious and misinformation at best.

I have never liked objective games in any game I have played.

What is the true BF experience anyway? Huge maps? Vehicles? I can see where these would be fun to use I suppose, but the main draw of an FPS to me is the gunplay. I'm not fond of driving around a tank or flying a jet. I just want to shoot people.

This is also why CoD sucks now. Too much emphasis on killstreaks and the like. BF3's Deathmatch provides an action filled, balanced experience. There's no running 15 minutes to an objective then getting sniped by some dick hiding in the rocks or bushes.

I've played Conquest and to me it seems like there's a lot more running around and waiting than there is action. I don't want to seem like I have ADD and can't be patient, but I just find the mode boring and ultimately unsatisfying.

I have no problem with any of the modes.

One of the maps in deathmatch is WAY too small for that game mode though (can't remember the name). The two teams kept on spawning beside each other and it was just nothing but spawn kills all over the place.

Not for me. I play 32 man DM and all the maps seem to be perfectly sized. Maybe you're playing 64?

What I like about Conquest is the dynamism of the matches. I love the freedom it affords players to be creative and execute strategies. The big matches almost seem like sandbox role-playing experience at times. Are you a pilot who taxis soldiers in the transport chopper to a new objective? Do you like to sneak around and destroy unsuspecting tanks with C4? How about a front-line battle medic? The wealth of choices, to me, embodies what makes the Battlefield experience so great. Deathmatch is a nice diversion, but it's not what I play Battlefield for.

Check out 64p Conquest on Grand Bazaar. It's probably got the least running around out of all the big maps.

I prefer Rush to Conquest, but that's mostly because the consoles have 24p games. This makes it seem like the front lines are thin/non-existent in Conquest. Rush actually makes use of the lower player counts since it puts everyone on the same objective. This is why I wish 64p was on console as well, or if you could somehow hook a controller up to a computer game and play it. /endrant

Damn you assholes.  I can't afford BF3 for a couple more weeks, so I've been playing BF:BC2 waiting, and it's gotten to the point that I can't get any match for any type online.  FUUUUUUUUUUU-

And I don't own one. Ehhh. Need a computer that can handle the game, too. So, I would need two things.  :sadpanda:

So, like, is it supposed to take 5 minutes to join a server?  First time I tried to join a server, I waited about 5 mins until BF3 finally opened, then it got stuck at a black screen.  The second time, I waited 5 minutes and it said, "Could not join server."  Is it so f-ing hard for them to put a legitimate server browser in the game client itself?

edit: Apparently it is a problem with Avast Anti-virus.  Seems to be fixed.

I've lost all 9 games I've played since I got this.  The fuck is with these hugely imbalanced teams every server I go to?

interesting. i really can't stand deathmatch games, for me there has to be some point to what i'm doing, rather than just going round killing people. just me though!

Yeah. I stayed up the other night until 4am reading so my sleep pattern is definitely messed up right now.

Couldn't play last night because my mother was visiting and I had to sleep in the living room D:
