YtseAvantasia – Another Angel Down: I had listened to Avantasia before but nothing that I liked. This song reminded me of Gamma Ray a lot, that melodic power metal type of thing that I listen to now and then. Great vocals from both Jorn and Tobias, nice guitar melodies.
ObscureMyrath – Hope: I love the intro in this song, just fantastic. After than it goes down and has a tough time keeping up. The instrumental section before the solos did not get to me. Neither did the solos which were flashy but boring. After that they go right into some exquisite prog and then turning into this metal stuff to the point I was
. So, some parts I love, some parts I don’t. The song as a whole doesn’t hold up very well.
ZxlkhoNeurosis – Stones from the sky: I got sucked into the weird orbital atmosphere that makes me feel I’m falling. There’s no particular thing I liked about it yet I enjoyed listening to it. I will say thought that the ending lost me completely when the weird sounds and breaks come in and the harsh vocals in the middle didn’t do it for me.
DTVTAmorphis – Silent water: Mmm, I like the piano in this song but the rest of the song doesn’t push any buttons. The vocals seem dull at the beginning but they manage to pick up afterwards. The riffs are interesting but get lost in the big picture.
LiberationKatatonia – Rusted: Nothing in this song is clicking for me. It’s a decent metal tune but I can’t find anything special to it.
ZanderNightingale – The Dreamreader: Nice tune. I like how powerful it is. The keyboards give a great touch of melody, the vocals are good and the solo makes a great ending as the song fades out.
CupSteely Dan – Aja: This song started slow but then picked up really quick. I love the great instrumentation, the jazzy vibe that made me almost dance on my chair. Everyone in the band seems to know exactly what to do and how to make the overall sound really nice.
Dethklok09Dance Gavin Dance – Tree Village: Nothing special about this song. As much as I like the variation I feel that they are trying to fit too many things in a 3 minute song and not really building anything up enough. The harsh vocal/screams did not help at all.

Round two: The first round I received a lot of heavy stuff so for the next one I'm gonna rip off Cups roulette and ask for non metal, non prog and non hard rock. I'll accept everything else.
