Why a Wednesday? That really sucks. Would have been worth making the trip if it was on a weekend. Probably not worth taking a day off work for it.

I'm guessing probably just because that was the only time that fit into their schedules.  They've been gearing for another heavy year of touring.  They're pretty busy fellas.

Tickets are gonna be a bitch to get.

Unless you're a lifetime member and have early access to tickets.  :)

My penis is pounding from jealousy atm.

So, who is going?  :metal If anyone is going to be making the trip up here from far away, I've got a pretty neat couch that is suitable for crashing.

I'm definitely going to try, but with school and work I can't say for sure.  Amazing that they're doing this, but WHY WEDNESDAY!

I'm guessing it was the only day that worked.   They've got a pretty hectic schedule, and they probably wanted to do it in the Boston area as a thank you to all their "original" fans.

If I'm still in the area in May I'll probably try and make it even though it's 2 hours away and I'll have to take some time off. The problem is that I'm trying to move back to the Midwest, so I won't buy a ticket in advance. I doubt I'd be able to find one by the time the show came up. Oh well... I'm kind of "over" live music anyway these days.

There'd better be a DVD!

There won't be.  Or, at least, there isn't one planned.  I asked Casey about it last night and he said they have no intention of recording it for release.

:( That's too bad. They should atleast record the audio. That way, if there are somethings they don't like that didn't turn out the way they wanted, they can release a couple of the tracks that they think turned out awesome, be it through a download or maybe a 1 cd set, similar to what SW is doing with his "concert sampler" cd.

Or the whole fucking show, I mean I would be ok with that too.

I think they are recording it for their own records or whatever.  Just not being done with the purpose of a release in mind.  They might see light in the future.  The conversation was something like this:

Me:  "So are you recording that show in Boston?"
Casey:  "Well... not like..." [awkwardness] "... not FOR anything..."
Me:  "So like... just so you can sit around and watch it by yourself at home?"
Casey: [laughs] [semi-sarcastically] "Yeah, exactly... so I can watch it at home"

Are the ticket sales for this Anthony Green your ever going to open up so I don't have to buy them through his pre-order bundle thing?
Cole: "Ow I just got hit in the balls"
Me: "How?"
Cole: "Well you know when you try to scratch your balls, and you scratch too hard?
I'll admit sometimes I want to listen to Dragonforce.

Hmm. Tickets for the Dallas show can be bought right now via the venue's website. From what I can tell, I don't see anything that mentions a pre-order bundle.

Also, a poster on 5/8 said that TDH aren't performing as a full band on this tour; that there's no bass or drums. Is this true? If so, that completely sucks and I'm considering not going.

Yeah, it's an acoustic performance, but the setlist is awesome so you should probably still go.

This, they are doing some of their best songs, it is definitely worth going. I didn't end up going to the Boston show, but the setlist is incredible and I wish I could have gone.

Yeah, setlist looks nice, but I'm not too keen on driving 5 hours to see a 45 minute acoustic performance.

In that case, fly 5 hours and come to the 2.5 hour Boston show.

It's a super unique performance and you'll get to see re-worked new versions of the songs performed in a way that will probably never be done again.

Yessir.  You needed the fan club presale password to get tickets today.  You should be able to get tickets from that same site tomorrow without the password.  Or you can get them through general public sale on the 28th.

That's a huge relief! Do you happen to know what time the onsale is tomorrow? I'm looking on the event page on TDH's website but I can't seem to find it.

I can't decide if I should buy a ticket for this or not. It's 50/50 that I'll be living 1500 miles away from the show when it happens, but if I'm still nearby I want to go. I suppose I could always try and sell it. Shouldn't be that difficult.
