So I drove an hour to tonights show planning on buying tickets at the door thinking that it would not sold out. Turns out it did sell out... so shit.... me and my friend go across the street to the bar for a few drinks to atleast make the trip somewhat worth while.   I spot the guitarist dude from the dear hunter there, I strike up a conversation with him.....he puts us on the guest list so we get in the show for free.   WIN!

Just got home from the show and it was so awesome! I loved the new color spectrum tracks that they played live and the older songs were awesome too.

Yeah We got together for the show, the venue was so small that it was impossible to miss each other. As soon as I spotted them I yelled to Zack at the top of my lungs.

I talked to the guitarist for a bit after the show and he said there aren't any plans for an act 4 at this time, he said they were going to work on some other projects first.

Great show though, they played mostly stuff from the new EPs and a couple of older songs.

OMG SO GOOD

That venue was tiny. I actually felt a little claustrophobic, and I usually am not.  :lol

Nice!  They're cool like that... which guitarist?  Connor (short blondish guy) or Rob taller skinny dark haried guy)?

The Aurora, CO one. One of the most memorable nights I've had.

Sweet.  I don't think I've seen any clips from that one.  I know there's stuff floating around from CA, Chicago, Penn State, Iowa and Long Island.  Nothing I'v come across from Colorado, Utah or Ohio though.  Any idea if anybody there recorded any of it?

Did you get a parking lot show?!

I'm gonna be getting to the venue at around 6:00ish... probably will just hang out at the bar for a few hours before the show starts.  If you get there early lemme know and track me down.

(p.s. ~ I'm pretty sure James and his g/f will be there... which makes me think there's a chance Heidi will be there too, although I'm really praying she doesn't show.  But if she does you might get to witness some drunken immature drama!)

Also - I totally went to Party City and bought some colored glow bracelets.

No, almost the entire venue stayed after the show to hang out, so Casey was like ultra busy, and I really wanted to hit the road.

And yay glowsticks. I forgot to go, but if I see a PC or SP on the way in, I'll stop and get some.

Yeah, it's always wild like that post-show.  People literally form a line to talk to Casey.  Sometimes I like to just hang out near the front of the line to just eavesdrop a little bit on what people are saying to him.  People say some crazy shit.  In Pittsburgh this one girl was more or less trying to say "I want to have sex with you".

lol, yep. I was in said line and right before he got to me he stepped off the stage, sat down and was like "I feel really weird having people come to me on the stage" :lol

He's such an awesome, humble guy. I told him that Act I was one of the best albums I have ever heard and he didn't even know what to say. He was just like "Thank you, really."

Yeah, he's totally just a regular guy.  I think he's a little uncomfortable with people constantly telling him how awesome he is blah blah blah.  The first time I took Heidi to see them, after the show, she went up to him to tell him the story about how she first heard the band - we were taking a trip to Philly, and during the drive, I played all of Act II for her and sort of narrated the story between songs.  Casey's reaction was:  "Oh god... you must've been so bored".

He's much better with bitterly sarcastic humor than genuine appreciation, so I just try to stick to that :).

For example, after the show in Cleveland, we were all hanging out outside the venue after the show, and we were split up into two groups.  Casey was in the group with me and Kyle (Lachryma from LatR), and they started talking about the LatR chatroom, and Kyle was like "How come every time you're in the chat and then I come in, you just disappear immediately after I come in?!?", so Casey's response was to just look at him and say "Oh yeah?  How 'bout this?"  Then he just got up and walked away without another word and went to hang out with the other group.  And he didn't come back.  :lol

:lol awesome.

I'm gonna bring my CD sleeves for Casey to sign tonight I think. Forgot to bring them yesterday.

Also:

exactly which bands are playing tonight, and when does the show start?

Kind of confused because I saw that Kay Kay might not be there?

:lol I totally fanboyed and was like "AHH... UHH... THE COLOR SPECTRUM VINYL SET IS LIKE.... THE MOST..... GREATEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN" and he was like " :omg: thanks!"  :lol

He's so incredibly humble, and that makes me appreciate him and his music even more.

Also yeah, this stream is SEX
