Wikipedia has a track list up, but the only other places I can find it are on a few different blogs, so I'm not sure if it's actually real.

Yeah, I saw that too. But no confirmation by the band that I've seen.

We'll probably find out soon enough once the pre-orders on Burning Shed are open.

These news were awesome. Back in 2009 I was going to see the band, but I wasn't let into the concert venue due to the 18 year old limit, and this was 2 weeks before my 18th birthday. I took a chance and hoped for the best, sadly it didn't work. When Anathema went out for the WS-tour, they completely ignored my city and I felt like maybe I had missed my only chance of seeing them. But now finally they announced a gig here, so November can't come soon enough. :)

Thought that myself. Someone asked on their FB page and they replied with:
"Keep an eye out on our page for further announcements :) "

Looks like plenty of time for them to fit some GB dates in either before or after Belfast and Dublin. Fingers crossed they come up to Scotland  :D

Wow, that must've been a tremendously sad moment for you in 2009  :(

As for the wikipedia track list…

Quote
The Lost Song part 1 (5'53)
The Lost Song part 2 (5'47)
Dusk (Dark Is Descending) (5'59)
Ariel (6'28)
The Lost Song part 3 (5'21)
Anathema (6'40)
You're Not Alone (3'26)
Firelight (2'42)
Distant Satellites (8'17)
Take Shelter (6'07)

Don't know if it's legit, but if it is… A self titled song and 3 part 'lost' song both have me very excited  :omg:

Well they have done that before (Eternity was three parts), so it is possible.

I just wonder what kind of a song could possibly warrant the title Anthema? I hope it's not doomed to be underwhelming as a result.

Didn't Danny mention something about an a cappella song featuring all the current and former members of Anathema? That might be the self-titled song...

He did mention something like that a while back. It could either be interesting, or a complete train wreck.

Looks like I'm gonna settle with the CD/DVD digibook edition. I would go for the deluxe edition, but IDK if it warrants a $40 difference in price if the only bonus is a making of DVD an extra 20 pages in the booklet and bigger and better packaging.

Edit: We have a 40 second teaser for The Lost Song Part 3

The sample sounds neat, but it's hard to say anything else about such a short clip.

I'll just buy the standard edition because I have no use for the 5.1 mix (sorry Mr. Wilson!). It sucks that the only way to get the documentary is to buy the deluxe edition :tdwn

While it sounded great, it still feels like it's part of WHBWH or that other one after it which I can't seem to recall right now. I am ready for some darker Anathema again, please.

I really hope Anathema makes another album like Judgement. It's still probably their best imo.

I think I agree on Judgement maybe being their best, but I'd rather see them branch out in a different direction. Their talk about more electronic influences is interesting. This one certainly doesn't have that feel though. Wait and see!

As much as I enjoy this band, $77.15 for the 3-disc Deluxe Edition with the t-shirt is a BIT much.

Just another example of record label's trying to exploit fans for all they can.
Making the version that has everything on it, the most expensive and even then the price is shocking.
No I don't have to buy it, yes I can afford it, but no I am not paying $70/$90 for the 3 disc set with shirt.

Listening to the sample sounds like it could have been taken from the last 2 albums, I hope there is something different and not
another s=version of those 2.

I thought WHBWH showcased a very beautiful musical direction for the band. When they elaborated on that more on WS, the results were only partly satisfying. I got the feel that they were playing it a bit too safe. This sample sounds pretty much exactly like those records, but I have to say it did sound very good. I'm curious how this is going to play out.
Not 'Down To F***', but 'Dream Theater Forums' .

Pre-ordered my cd and t-shirt bundle on Friday.  Can't wait for this album.  Weather Systems is one of my favorite albums of all-time.  So beautiful and emotionally powerful.

Trying to make sense of the translation is kind of a pain, but it was a joy to read (kind of) anyways! Some interesting points:

Quote
keep the high level of writing Weather Systems, add more piano, majestic orchestrations (in the manner of those of Falling Deeper) and enchanting melodies, sprinkle all of a fine dose of post-rock

Quote
continues where stopped offering music still planing and exhilarating, but also brighter and positive than in the past
(not sure I believe that bit)

Also really excited about the Danny Cavanagh solo (Are You There? has always been one of my favorites) and the apparently darker "Dusk (darkness is descending)" I'm really looking forward a single, hopefully soon :caffeine:

The bit about the album being more homogenous than Weather Systems makes me worried, because WS was kind of samey to my ears already.

Yeh… but if it's samey of the same quality as WS, I'm not going to be too upset.

Keep in mind that may not be a good translation. In context, it may mean "consistent". The fact that the review gave 9/10 would seem to support that.

My favourite translated line: "The orgy of violins final part of background rhythm of electro inspiration completing all to great effect"

They're coming to Istanbul AGAIN. And this time...oh. AGE LIMIT AGAIN. BUT NOPE. I actually know the owner of the freaking venue. He said he could get me in as "staff" with VIP tickets. Woah.
