I listened to We're Here Because We're Here before. Wow. So so great. I tried out A Fine Day to Exit too. Not as good as WHBWH but I absolutely love the "dogs, cats, chickens" section on Temporary Peace, mostly because Anathema are from my town and the accent is so strong.

But yeah, WHBWH is awesome.

Well, I admit I only listened to the ending part like three times or so, normally I just manually press stop after Temporary Peace :P the ending is kinda fun but it doesn't fit the album for me.

And personally I love AFDTE much more than WHBWH.

I just accidentally got into Anathema.

The venue which is hosting Devin Townsend tonight mistakenly listed Anathema as the opening band, so I checked out some youtube videos and got hooked. Then I found out they are not on the bill

What a tease.

Haha don't worry, Anathema is amazing.

Listen to A Natural Disaster and try not to be lonely and sad.

Good luck.

Actually, I find it to be just the perfect album to listen to when lonely and sad. It feels like a friend.

I think Anathema should just focus on writing a new album since as they made us wait so long for WHBWH.

It better have Wilson mixing again though.

They are already working on a new album, which should come out in 2012.  ;)

Sunset of Age on Falling Deeper is one of the most beautiful and powerful things I have ever heard. If Anathema does a show with an orchestra and plays that song, I think I would be willing to travel anywhere in the world to go see it.

Yeah, that song is really good. The whole of Falling Deeper disappointed me though, unfortunately. :(

they really should've done that song on Falling Deeper.

ADW rules! :metal But the guys of the band didn't feel that song worked in an orchestral setting: https://www.rockpages.gr/detailspage.aspx?id=6186&type=1&lang=EN

So... how 'bout that Alternative 4 album (The Brink, not the Anathema one)? Pretty kick ass, imo. It's like a continuation of the '98 masterpiece.

So WHBWH is the only album I have ever overplayed.

It sucks, I wish I could enjoy it again :(

Reminds me of the A4 title track... Alternative 4 is my favorite Anathema album, maybe I should give this album a listen.

Quote from: Petter Carlsen
With pride and overjoy I can announce that I'm doing backing vocals on the first two tracks on ANATHEMA - official band page 's upcoming album! I've been a huge fan for many years, and this is very inspiring to me! Fuel on the fire! Yesch!!! ♥

Petter Carlsen is amazing, in fact he has become one of my favorite singer/songwriters or whatever since Voxyn told me about him, so the fact that he will be on Anathema's new album makes it even more amazing.  :hefdaddy

Danny said on the Anathema forum that the new album will be titled "Weather Systems". Can't find the thread where it was said first but in this thread he says: "with a title like 'weather systems' its likely to be included eh mate " referring to "Lightning Song".

I'm really intrigued by that title. If it has a cover similar to WHBWH and Falling Deeper, I'll be even more excited, because I love the colors and simplicity of those covers, they are not full of details or stuff here and there, they are just simple and beautiful, and suiting the music on the albums perfectly.

Any news on when the album will be out? As in, Spring, Summer or Fall?

Their next tour date is on April 21 and the album is ready so I bet they'll release it before the start of the tour.
