I like the look, guess hes got to do something different than Kamelot.

I like the song a lot too.  Pretty short though.

Oh man, Tommy's wearing a Nice Guy Fedora.

DON'T POST ON TUMBLR SEVENTH WONDER  :lol

Love the song though. Leaning a bit more towards the melodic rock end of the spectrum, but Seventh Wonder always had that feel about them anyway.

I love it. A tad more poppy than most of their discography but I don't mind. Good vocals, nice instrumental touches and a good flow.

Their look is also a pretty welcome change as I already see way too many serious looking dark clothed guys with beards and long hair. I think it fits their image pretty well.

And I am also very curious to see/hear their upcoming live rendition of Mercy Falls (which I unfortunately will not be able to attend).

I've listened to it a few times and I can safely say that I enjoy it significantly more than The Enemy Inside  :)

In all seriousness though, love the vocal melodies. Catchy as all get out, and exactly what I've come to expect from Seventh Wonder.

Pretty ordinary on the first listen for me.  Not really digging it and we've heard it all before.

That describes the band as a whole pretty accurately. Tis why I only have 4 of their songs on my phone.

I was never a big fan but did quite enjoy their last two, this just seems bland.

It seems very much like a single, which is why I'm remaining quite optimistic. If the whole album sounds like this I'll be a little let down, but I'm not expecting it to.

Mercy Falls is what inspired me to make this thread. Great album, vocals, playing, and apart from the cringing voiceovers, the storyline is really cool

The cringing voice overs are what have prevented me from ever giving that album a chance.

As terrible as they are, they have no bearing over the music as there arent that many of them and it doesnt disrupt the songs.  I suggest you give it another shot, the album is amazing.

This. It'd be a damn shame to miss out on over an hour of amazing music because of less than a minute's worth of terrible voice-overs.

Has there been any news on the new album?  I was listening to this band a lot last week.  I realized that Inner Enemy was released about six months ago, but I haven't heard much about the album.

I personally haven't heard anything recently. Back in the summer, I had figured it'd come out sometime in December, but came to realize it'd be later than that after not hearing anything from the band by the time of late October/early November.

Maybe we'll hear more by spring? *shrug*

I guess they want to avoid releasing albums at the same Kamelot does for touring schedule reasons, and as Kamelot aims for new album this spring, I would bet on near-2016 Seventh Wonder release.
This first band is Soen very cool swingy jazz fusion kinda stuff.

Maybe, but I kinda doubt it. As far as I can remember, Seventh Wonder didn't seem to do much touring at all for their albums even before Tommy joined Kamelot.

Today I bought The Great Escape. Completely randomly, I add. Goin' to listen to it later  :metal :metal

Edit: to make it clear, I don't know any song, but I was so surprised to find it in the record store in my town (I live in a relatively small town), I got so excided that I've bought it.

It ends up that it's not really my cup of tea. IMO it's too generic prog, and there's too much melody all over the place from my tastes. But still, some songs are awesome, like King Of Whitewater. I won't sell it. Tommy's voice is stellar though.

I dunno, that was my problem with Mercy Falls, I thought the vocal melodies were too all over the place and too random. After a few listens when I've got accustomed to those soaring passages Tommy rolls, I was completely sold on this band.

Hey, maybe that'll happen to me too. I'll give The Great Escape another couple of spins and then listen to Mercy Falls. I won't give up  :metal
