Selection type: Free-for-all
For this round the criteria the song had to meet was:
Contain a guitar solo
Songs that met the criteria, in order of wager (lowest to highest):
Gorille85
Wager: 4 Points
Diablo Swing Orchestra - "A Tap Dancer's Dilemma"
I've heard of these guys but I'm not sure I was ready for it. Though once the guitars hit I was hooked, what an awesome style. Just plain damn fun music. Nice like clean guitar solo in the middle and the whole thing grooved really well. Horns were awesome. Full points.
Nekov
Wager: 10 Points
Haken - "Insomnia"
I had a Haken song last roulette I believe and unfortunately while I can appreciate the obvious musical talents of the members I'm not as into this type of music as I used to be. I did like the fullness of the sound although it was a bit over-produced. Reminded me a lot of Scenes/Octavarium Dream Theater though unlike most prog metal acts I've heard they didn't ape that style too much. Did contain a guitar solo so full points.
Songs that did not meet the criteria, in order of wager (lowest to highest):
MasterShakezula
Wager: 0 Points
Sigur Ros - "Starálfur"
I'd give you all remaining points because this song is just so damn beautiful, plus it made the ending to "The Life Aquatic", one of my favorite movies, so much more depressing. Everything about the song is so well done, especially the main piano line and the strings overlaid on top. I've heard about the lyrics (Hopelandic or whatever the band calls it) and it's just overall so pleasant sounding. There was no guitar solo but no wager so no loss. Great song.

The Avett Brothers - "I And Love And You"
I've been meaning to try more Americana/folk type stuff so this was a nice little treat. The music was nice if not a bit of standard fare for this style of music but the real power was in the lyrics and the vocal delivery, both very effective. Unfortunately no guitar solo so no points.
Perpetual Change
Wager: 4 Points
Bob Dylan - "Oh Sister"
Dylan's such a hit or miss with me, though I'll at least stick around to listen all the way through since I do like his song writing for the most part (it's the voice that kills me). The interplay between the vocals was actually pretty neat in this song. It had the slow drawl of a Neil Young song but still keeping with that Dylan style, something I can get behind. Unfortunately while it did have a harmonica solo there wasn't a guitar solo. No points.
Ravenheart
Wager: 5 Points
Sarah Fimm - "In the Red"
This was cool right from the get go. Some electronic beats, jazz horns, great female lead vocals, what an awesome combo. I was actually really close to making the criteria horns which would've been great for this but unfortunately it just didn't work out. No points but if it makes you feel better Raven I would've ranked this very high.

Manchester Orchestra - "Simple Math"
Right off the bat it reminded me of No-man though it did change into more alt rock type stuff. Definitely struck all the right chords and made me want to check this band out. The vocals actually worked well for me and fit the style really well. Unfortunately there was no guitar solo so no points.
The Tally:
33 - Gorille85
27 - Nekov
23 - MasterShakezula
21 - antigoon
19 - Perpetual Change
13 - zxlkho
8 - Ravenheart
