Systematic Chaos

I really like both, though.

What a huge loss. I really love having intelligent discussions with people who dismiss opinions they don't understand with "lol".  :yeahright

I'm joking. God damn man.

Yeah, I know. I half considered putting a joking emoticon, but wasn't in the mood. My bad. But I shall give you a love heart to balance it out and make us friends.  :heart

Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

Both albums are in the less good half of DT's discography IMO but BC&SL wins

I listened to Systematic Chaos minus Prophets Of Fail this morning. Twas Good.

I think I'll listen to The Shattered Fortress and The Count Of Tuscany tonight.

Not really a big fan of either of these albums.  I think I could probably combine them both to make one good 70 minute CD.

However, I voted for BC&SL

Totally done this before...

1. In The Presence Of Enemies (25:16)
2. A Nightmare To Remember (16:10)
3. The Ministry Of Lost Souls (14:57)
4. The Count Of Tuscany (19:16)
Total - 75:39

BC&SL.  Systematic Chaos is my least favorite DT album.  It's one of the few that has regressed in how much I like it since it came out.

I have to say tied.  They're almost at the bottom of my list, just above WDADU.

Black Clouds  is their  3rd best album, whereas Systematic Chaos is their 5th.

Really? You really prefer SC more than Images or Awake? I'm just curious why, and not attacking You ;) I totally respect Your opinion.

Systematic Chaos big time. I loved it the moment I heard it, and I've been lukewarm about BCSL during its entire existence.
No contest.

Well, i certainly prefer SC over Awake and don't get me wrong i love awake (as i love almost every song DT has released). But SC does more for me than Awake, maybe it's because i love its metal feel and energy, TMOLS  and ITPOE give me chills every time. Awake it's great, it's just that i can't get into some songs often (6:00, LSoaD, Scarred) other than that it's great.

Now I&W is another story... I love it from start to finish. So, my favorite albums are: I&W, SFAM, SDOIT and SC. Besides SC is the album that got me into DT.

I know I'm in the minority with SC but hey, I love the album :)

As a basic rule, if you hate it, you must solely blame Portnoy. If it's good, then you must downplay MP's contribution to the band as not being important anyway, or claim he's just lying. It's the DTF way.
