A lot of people contribute to my enjoyment of this site and I won't bother ranking them so this list is pretty much random and without prioritization (way to kick you in the teeth, whomever I list first
) as the difference between my most- and least-loved member on this list is minimal since I value all of you for making this place a true refuge for me when I'm down.
El Barto: Your far-spanning knowledge on countless subjects is a delight to read and your posts are damn funny at times especially when you throw in an unexpected zinger in the middle of an otherwise serious and informing post. You saved my computer nearly two years ago too. You're awesome.
DarkCastle: We never seem to disagree on anything. You like a lot of great bands and I promise I'll make a point of getting into Kvelertak quite soon. Your personality comes alive quite vividly in your pics and you definitely seem to have this Les Claypool-esque quirk to you. I sincerely believe the world would be a much better place if more folks were as light-hearted and easy-going as you.
wolfking: You've always been very nice and welcoming in our correspondence here and you're fantastic on guitar. The fact that you share my love of Cynic makes you even cooler.
FlyingBizkit: It's been a joy getting to show you new bands and I'm really glad you liked Opeth's Bleak. I hope you like Blackwater Park in its entirety whenever you get a chance to spin it. Always glad to make more suggestions if you should run dry on new band ideas.
bout to crash: Your unparalleled wit and sense of humor never fail to brighten my day. You look adorable in 103% of the pics you post and are easily one of the five most unique people whom I've ever known, internet or in real life. The fact that I can shoot the shit about craft beer with you immensely raises your stock as well. When I return to NOLA you always have a crash spot for when you're in town.
lonestar: You remind me a lot of the kind of dudes I hang out with in real life. I could very easily see myself chilling with you and bashing U$C while I absorb as much of your culinary expertise as I could. Your help in the food thread is beyond appreciated and it's a genuine treat to get cooking tips from someone I immediately know isn't talking out of his ass just to sound well-versed.
jamesman: You embody so much of what I try to improve myself to be on a daily basis. You're like me with better wit and much more understanding and you're definitely one of the DTFers I'd like to meet one day. I'll make sure my bass is tuned CGCF so we can jam on Aerials.
Hefdaddy: Your occasional injection of frank humor to contrast your usual understatement amuses the shit out of me. You never get long-winded about your points which is very refreshing around these parts and your pics are always entertaining.
obscure: Your pics always remind me that life is supposed to be enjoyed every day and your childlike zeal in those pics is cute in a cuddly teddy bear kinda way. The fact that you like many of the metal bands I came up with is awesome as well since it gives me hope that I won't have to settle on looks or musical similarities in whatever girl I end up marrying since (hopefully) you aren't the only cutie on the planet who likes Death.
That's all I can think of for now although I'm sure there are more. If/when I think of the ones whom are lost, not forgotten, I'll probably just quote this post and add a post below it.
