The Da Vinci Code - Dan Brown

I finally got curious enough to read it.

Fantastic read. Dan Brown is supposed to be working on a sequel..... it will be one of the most anticipated books of all time

Yep, its called The Lost Key, and comes out Sept 15th. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Lost_Symbol

That sounds awesome. I haven't worked at Borders in a while, so I'm not as up-to-date on my books as I used to be.

And I actually enjoyed the DaVinci Code movie and I plan on going to see Angels and Demons when it's released.

I was thinking of reading some Chuck Pahlaniuk. Anyone read his work before?

Palahniuk's my favorite author. Try Fight Club, Survivor, Invisible Monsters, or Diary. You can't go wrong with any of those.

Well, don't get your hopes up too high.

I cannot stress enough the importance of reading the Jack Reacher novels by Lee Child.

Reading three books at the time, but that's just because I have to read on my iPhone when in bed to not disturb husband with too many lights, and I borrowed a book on friday from a friend of a friend. So:

On the phone: Arthur Conan Doyle - A Study in Scarlet (First Holmes book)
Borrowed: Neil Gaiman - Coraline
Stephen R Donaldson - The Man Who Risked His Partner

all in English, too :P

Nothing at the moment, but recently finished Watchmen, which I loved.

I need to dedicate this summer to reading since my semester was pretty free of it. I finished my English and Women's and Gender Studies minors, so usually I'm constantly reading really cool books for class but this semester it was all law cases, textbook chapters and psych articles. Boooring.

I'd also suggest The Fountainhead but there is one scene in the book that your Woman's Studies would throw a fit at. Atlas Shrugged also contains a really good law case scene towards the beginning that was actually based on a real case. Not to pimp Ayn Rand since most liberals seem to hate the crap out her stuff but if anything it's really good literature if you've got some spare time.

Hey, cool! I had all the books in the Wallander series (I gave some of them to a friend since she loved them). I like.

I'm done with Coraline and Study in scarlet, starting on The Sign of the Four by A.C Doyle on my phone now...time to finally finish the Stephen Donaldson book!

Yep, I love Mankell's writing (and Swedish criminal novels in general - except for Stieg Larsson's trilogy). Its content is much more realistic than many novels' of the modern Anglo-American direction.

Wow, cool that you guys actually read swedish novels. Yeah, Henning Mankell usually writes great books. Stieg Larsson books were WAY overhyped, even though the movie was quite good.

I'm currently re-reading The Dirt. Unfortunally, I only have the translated one, and much of the content gets lost in the translation. I'm also reading the second book in the Eragon series. Quite good, but not the best or most original fantasy I've ever read...
