High School Nostalgia, that's an oxymoron right?

But seriously I've already repressed those memories

I doubt many people will admit to having high school nostalgia.

But I do. I'm a sophomore in college and I miss it a lot. I'm not sure why, because honestly, college is so much easier. I think I just miss the many people I was friends with who moved away after graduation. The realization that I'll probably never talk to them again is really depressing.

who is what don't i even this?

I'm a damn English major. You're engineering. Hence, our disagreement. :lol

Ahh, high school.

I'm working in a high school. Lol. It's the high school that is the rival to where I graduated high school from.

I loved HS. I made some great friends (some of who I still hang out with today) and it set me on the career path I have now, thanks to encouraging teachers (my Analysis teacher gave me a graphing calculator and told me to go as far as I can with it until I get where I should be) and some dual enrollment classes.

Even with all those good memories (and very few bad ones), college > HS, IMO.

I hated high school for the most part, but did fun in sports, band, and drama.

I'm kidding, I actually don't love it. I don't hate it though, because I like seeing my friends.

High school was good I suppose.  The important stupid things done were captured on video and put on youtube and I look at that every once in a while.

I hated high school, it was the worst three years. My school was overpopulated, I'm not even in the yearbook.

I was such an outcast. I didn't have many friends, and I got made fun of a lot, and that's really when I started posting a lot on DT.net and MP.com. I cut most of my classes senior year, and only went to concert band and marching band.

High school was awesome. It was basically just haning out wiht friends all the time. School was pretty easy for me, so I just remember all the fun I had.
This. I could do absolutely no work and still get A's. There were no responsibilities to worry about. I hung out with friends during school, during track practice/meets, and during musical rehearsal. It was a blast.

Is highschool really that bad in the US? Most of you seem that have had an awful time there.

I wouldn't say it's horrendous, but it's really boring and feels like an assembly line of sorts.

I think that all depends on the kind of high school you go to though. Public or Private. I go to a private school and I love the small community vibe. I only have about 300 kids in my school and we all get along and the teachers know almost every student. There's a tight feel at my school. I love going everyday because I know it's going to be a good day no matter what with the sense of community

I went to a public school, because my family is either totally clueless, or is dead-set on making me a failure.

That reminds me of my first semester of high school. I was  a sophomore in honors history I think. My teacher passed out empty world maps. We had to put as many countries and states as we could, where they went. Lots of people couldn't even place New York.

Some kid in my music theory class was upset because he thought it was a class on writing rap music.  :rollin

Think of it this way, ST: your school went to the effort to make students take the citizenship test.

Some kid in my music theory class was upset because he thought it was a class on writing rap music.  :rollin

There are just so many stupid people. We had a writing test for all Juniors, maybe 2 weeks ago. The prompt was about, "What is the best invention in today's society?"

Some girl did sex toys.
