Only once, though I still have the ticket for what was meant to bemy second time going unfulfilled. Damn COVID.
Anyway, I saw them at the Palais Theatre, St. Kilda, Victoria, Australia on September 20th, 2017. The Images, Words and Beyond tour.

I was supposed to see them in April of 2020 but uh, well, we all know how the last few years have gone…
Let's go with a P for Deadeye has premature alphabetejaculation.

Three times in Dallas: Chaos in Motion in '07, first show opening for Maiden in '10, and then '19. Saw them for the fourth time, this time in Chicago, last night.

Updated to include the show next month! Haven't missed a Massachusetts show since my first show as a fan in 2004. Almost 20 years with these guys, killing it every time.

Orpheum Theatre, Boston, MA - 7x (2004, 2006, 2008, 2011, 2016, 2017, 2019)
Bank of America Pavilion, Boston, MA - 5x (2005, 2007, 2009, 2012, 2023)
Oakdale Theatre, Wallingford, CT - 3x (2006, 2007, 2021)
Worcester Palladium, Worcester, MA - 2x (2004, 2010)
Great Woods, Mansfield, MA - 1x (1998)
Radio City Music Hall, New York, NY - 1x (2006)
University of Buffalo Center For the Arts, Buffalo, NY - 1x (2007)
PNC Bank Art Center, Holmdel, NJ - 1x (2007)

Palace Theater, Albany, NY - 1x (2019)
Boch Center at the Wang Theater, Boston, MA - 1x (2022)

I don't want MP playing with DT unless they were making a drummer change. If they let MM go and bring back MP, then fine, but no guest appearance please.

2005: Gigantour Atlantic City NJ
Went for the Megadeth, but my wandering ears found a new band to crush on.  :blush

2008: Prog Nation Terminal 5 NYC
The only show they played Repentance  :metal Okay maybe it wasn’t the most metal moment, but I was there for DT history. I know the medley Schmedly Wilcox was controversial, but I enjoyed it because it allowed a new fan like me to hear bits of all those classics, even at a short concert. I imagine there were a lot of other newer fans at those Progressive Nation shows who probably appreciated it in the same way. Plus, I got to hear part of Octavarium(my favorite DT song) and looked forward to the day I would see them perform it in its entirety. Still waiting for that day…. :(

2009: Prog Nation Tower Theatre Philly PA
Last show I saw with MP :(  I remember they played Hollow Years(wish they would pull that song out more).

2012: ADTOE Atlantic City NJ
First MM show - absolute rocker. My first real “full length show.” I remember James being on point and putting on a real show. My one friend I brought with me was a drummer and he was floored by how good Mangini was (less floored by the dual drummer King Crimson Project. I remember that being a little…rough)  :metal

2014: S/T Tour Count Basie Red Bank NJ
Probably my favorite DT show i’ve ever been to and the best I have ever heard LaBrie sound live. Band and crowd were having a blast - amazing set-list and amazing night. Awful food at the diner near the theatre after the show  :lol

2016: Astonishing Tour Tower Theatre Philly PA
Cool show - very unique. I like the Astonishing, don’t love it. Overall it was a fun night, but i wish they played some classics too (I do remember they added them later in the tour, but my show was still just The Astonishing). On the flip side, the light show and video screens were fantastic and my dad who came with me absolutely loved the show. He’s not much into the heavy metal side of the band so he dug the show more than a typical DT show.

2017: Images/Words Tour Baltimore MD
This was a strange show. The fourth song was The Spirit Carries On, which was kind of a bizarre place for it in the set. I loved seeing ACOS live, but the Images & Words set was  too demanding vocally. James tried his best, but it’s clear the material was too much to ask from him. I remember walking away from that show worried about how much longer they could tour with how James did that night.

2019: D/T | Scenes Tour Tower Theatre Philly PA
This is probably my second favorite DT show. Despite my worries from the Images tour, James killed it all night and was amazing on the Scenes set. I loved the set list and the band was on fire. Only complaint was the loudness. I made sure next tour I would bring ear plugs because it was getting absurd how loud the shows were.

2022: Top of the World Tour The Met Philly PA
I love DT, but I’m gonna be frank - this was my least favorite DT show i’ve been to. Did I enjoy myself? Yes. The band played great, although I kind of missed Mangini’s bigger drum set. There wasn’t much engagement with the fans and James….ooof. He was struggling bad. Not just with hitting notes, he was out of time - either late or early for some verses, forgot the lyrics on at least 4 songs at some point, and just really seemed to be having a rough go of it performing. I really hope they rework the set list a bit for this upcoming tour so there aren’t any crazy difficult songs for James to sing. I love this band and really want to see them succeed and put on a great show.

I love these guys for the shows and memories over the years - here’s to hopefully many more awesome DT shows.

That's an impressive list of shows. The one thing I regret is not checking out JP's shows recently. I really haven't seen any of the members in a solo capacity or with another group(even though I do really like a lot of their solo work or side projects). Jordan was probably a fun show to go see. His talent with a keyboard is just incredible.

The online StageIt performances with Jordan were especially cool because of the live interactive nature, and very intimate.

I can definitely see it. The one meet and greet I did with Dream Theater, I felt Jordan was the most interactive and fun member(petrucci was pretty talkative with the fans as well). Even though myung was quiet, he was very friendly. One of my friends was able to meet and greet when Portnoy was in the band and said he was definitely the most interactive with the fans.

Richmond, VA - 2012
Durham, NC - 2016
Raleigh, NC - 2017
Charlotte, NC - 2019
Raleigh, NC - 2019

Best so far for me was the 2012 show in Richmond.  They played a relatively small venue without seats and seemed like they had something to prove.

My list is pretty similar except I sat out the 6 D's and ToT tours as my kids were just born.
That was me during the Mangini years.  I definitely skipped a few tours there when my daughter was a little younger.  I can't wait for the first Portnoy Mk2 dates.  Nothing could keep me from those shows.

I missed the 2012 tour. Below is my list:

Beacon Theater, NYC - 08-2009
Hammerstein Ballroom, NYC - 03-2014
Radio City Music Hall, NYC - 04-2016
Beacon Theatre, NYC - 11-2017
Tower Theatre, Upper Darby, PA - 04-2019
State Theatre, NJ - 10-2019
Oakdale Theatre, CT - 03-3022
Theater at MSG, NYC - 06-2023

Today I learned that DT played The Astonishing at RCMH almost ten years to the day after Score. How in the hell was that not filmed?? :censored
I don't want MP playing with DT unless they were making a drummer change. If they let MM go and bring back MP, then fine, but no guest appearance please.
WELP.

I could give a reason as to why it wasn't filmed.  However, there is a number of people on this board who wouldn't like my answer.  So, I'm just gonna play nice and keep it to myself.

Because the venue wasn't very full for one.  I'm a minority in that I very much enjoy TA as an album and even the performance of it was great, but the actual show itself, with the ushers, was very un-fun.  I wish they filmed that show so you could see how unhappy a significant amount of the crowd was that night.  I had a lot more fun at the DTF meet up before that show, good turn out.  I think the only one who visibly looked like they were having fun was JP's wife  :lol

All shows in the UK unless otherwise noted.

Eventim Apollo, London - February 22, 2020 (Distant Memories show, night two, rather visible in second row throughout the bluray, especially in The Spirit Carries On where I cheekily nod at the camera as it glides past :coolio :lol)
Eventim Apollo, London - February 21, 2020 (Distant Memories show, night one)
Symphony Hall, Birmingham - April 18, 2017
London Palladium, London - February 19, 2016 (The Astonishing, second row in front of JP. Was somewhat less sober than anticipated and that, combined with it being like JP was playing in my living room, made it super enjoyable despite the music)
London Palladium, London - February 18, 2016 (First performance of The Astonishing, JP didn't even go to the centre of the stage for his solo in A New Beginning. It was so obvious that the performance needed some serious pepping up)
Civic Hall, Wolverhampton - February 15, 2014
Wembley Arena, London - February 10, 2012
O2 Apollo Manchester, Manchester - February 9, 2012
Civic Hall, Wolverhampton - July 23, 2011
Rock in Roma 2011, Rome, Italy - July 4, 2011 (Mangini's first show, held on a racecourse. Great setting!)
Wembley Arena, London - October 10, 2009
Southampton Guildhall, Southampton - June 13, 2009
O2 Academy Leeds, Leeds - June 12, 2009
King George's Hall, Blackburn - November 11, 2007
Civic Hall, Wolverhampton - November 10, 2007
Wembley Arena, London - October 13, 2007
Braehead Arena Glasgow, Glasgow - October 11, 2007
Newcastle City Hall, Newcastle - June 9, 2007
Radio City Music Hall, New York, NY, US - April 1, 2006 (Score show)
Civic Hall, Wolverhampton - October 26, 2005
Carling Apollo Hammersmith, London - October 25, 2005 (Dark Side of the Moon show)
Carling Apollo Hammersmith, London - October 24, 2005
Carling Apollo Hammersmith, London - January 17, 2004

May as well add mine, now I've got a few more under my belt!

Civic Hall Wolverhampton, 2011 (First ever concert - blew my little mind)
Sheffield City Hall, 2014 (Met the guys, except JM - who hurriedly ran past - as they were getting off the tour bus. Unfortunately, don't know what happened to the photos from that day)
Sporthalle Hamburg, 2020
Utilita Arena Newcastle, 2022
O2 Apollo Manchester, 2023

The hope is, whenever they announce their first UK or Euro leg with MP, to take in at least a few dates on that tour. Fingers crossed.
