I'm heading to my 6th Dream Theater show on Thursday in Toronto. I live in Newfoundland, so I always have to travel to see DT. (or any band for that matter) So sometimes I've switched it up a little:

Montreal x1 (08.xx.10)
NYC x2 (05.21.08, 05.22.08)

In keeping with my new tradition of seeing Dream Theater perform in a city I've never been to before on each tour (in addition toattending the home town show), I've chosen Austin, TX for A Dramatic Tour of Events.  If others have seen DT in MULTIPLE CITIES, I'd be curious to see how far and wide we fans have traveled to see our favoriate band.

(Please don't post that you've only seen them in your home town only, kinda defeats the purpose of this thread).  Here are the cities I've seen Dream Theater live:

Boston   x4
Providence  x2
Los Angeles  x17
New Haven  x1 (12/28/98)
Austin  x1 (10/26/11) - UPCOMING!!!
Portland, OR  x1 (6/21/10)
San Francisco x1  (3/11/06)
Anaheim  x1 (3/9/06)

Total = 28 shows in 8 cities.

And you consider yourself a fan? :hefdaddy

Chicago (1 time as of tonight)

I prefer Milwaukee because there is less traffic although Rosemont was pretty easy to get to from Iowa.

fascinating stuff, guys.  I would imagine no other band draws people to make all these treks.

CFMORAN13, looks like you've also been to the Fix For 96 and the Home For the Holidays 98 gig, two shows which place high in my setlist rankings.  Very special evenings, indeed.

Since they only ever play one show within 200km, and I don't have the financial possibilities to travel further, this is my count:

Rotterdam, 2 times  (or 3... I'm not sure)
Amsterdam, 1 time
Biddinghuizen, 1 time (festival)
Zwolle, upcoming!

Nihil-Morari is generally considered the resident Zappa person.

Yep.  Was fortunate to see each of the holiday tours.  Got tix for the Lido Beach show before the Old Bridge show was announced.  Otherwise, I would've gladly avoided traveling out to Long Island to see them and stayed in Jersey.

Living in the NJ/NY area, between the holiday shows, the SFAM Roseland show and the RCMH show, I've been very lucky.

I'm mostly confined to the northeast.

Worcester, MA x2 (Interesting parallels, but the palladium show here was my first DT concert (first concert ever actually) and this was also the venue where I saw them for the last time with MP)
Syracuse, NY
Wallingford, CT
Buffalo, NY x2
Albany, NY x2
(Soon to be) Morristown, NJ

And the oddball is:
Washington DC
