Fuck VH1, Miley Cyrus and the fucking Black Eyed Peas?
They have M.I.A but no Santigold?
Fuck this list in the ass.
I imagined the story to go more like this.

I was sitting a traffic light blaring Space Dye Vest and next to me in another car was Kevin Moore. And I'll never be open again.

A few shitty songs, some mediocre ones, some good ones. So glad to see Drops of Jupiter in there, though, love that song.

I don't see what the big deal is.

These types of lists shouldn't be surprising.

I thought that Yahoo list is the stupidest you can get.

This list basically takes the stupidity level of that list, multiplies it by 34349214098298403, then repeats the number sequence you got 100 times, and the result should be squared.

10. The White Stripes - Seven Nation Army
9. Creed - With Arms Wide Open
8. Kanye West - Gold Digger
7. U2 - Beautiful Day

Jesus Christ.. the Foo and Blink 182 are the only two I can stomach and I absolutely can't stand All the Small Things (new album looks promising so far though). I have never been happier to be so far out of touch with the mainstream than I am right now.

My top ten from that list would be something like:

1 Eminem – “Lose Yourself”
2 Gnarls Barkley – “Crazy”
3 OutKast – “Hey Ya!”
4 Beyoncé (Feat. Jay-Z) – “Crazy In Love”
5 OK Go – “Here It Goes Again"
6 Beyoncé – “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)”
7 The White Stripes – “Seven Nation Army”
8 Johnny Cash – “Hurt”
9 The Killers – “Mr. Brightside”
10 Norah Jones – “Don’t Know Why”

Beyonce has absolutely no depth as an artist, but she's a great singer, and some of her biggest singles are just stunning songs.

I thought this list was just completely terrible after looking at the #1 (although it probably does reflect some of the biggest songs of the 00s... are you really all that surprised that Steven Wilson didn't round out VH1's top 100 list?), but there are actually a couple of decent songs, mostly just some rock songs that became popular. Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers... Creed - With Arms Wide Open is not a song I'm very fond of but it's decent. Also wondering why lots of these songs aren't from the 00s.

Really? Eminems best song in the 2000s is Lose Yourself? That's the one you use? That's silly.

Edit: On a side note i don't like some of the songs but honestly a lot of these are pretty fun to listen to. I think some of you forget sometimes that music doesn't just have to be about time signatures, key changes, and playing fast. It's supposed to be fun to listen to  ;)

91 Creed – “With Arms Wide Open”
86 Aerosmith – “Jaded”
85 Macy Gray – “I Try”
63 Andrew W.K. – “Party Hard”

48 Kings Of Leon – “Sex On Fire”
33 Johnny Cash – “Hurt”
29 Foo Fighters – “Best Of You”
17 Coldplay – “Clocks”
14 Gnarls Barkley – “Crazy”
Songs I like/tolerate of the list. And With Arms Wide Open is just... Bland. Human Clay sucks balls.
Honorable mention to Linkin Park's In The End just because Hybrid Theory and Meteora are albums that bring me good memories, marked my late childhood/teenage years.

With Arms Wide Open is gay even compared to the already-gay expectations we have of post-My Own Prison (album) singles. Aerosmith went out and got a group discount on castrations after finishing the Get a Grip tour. Evanescence is and always will be nothing more than the drippings from Cristina Scabbia's tampon.

100 Sisqó – “Thong Song” - Just a very fun yet almost dramatic song. I love the vibe.

98 3 Doors Down “Kryptonite” - Come on. Everyone loved this song!

97 Shaggy “It Wasn’t Me” - I remember like this song and "Angel", and my mom bought me this album because I liked those two songs. One of the last memories I have of my mom.

88 Fountains of Wayne – “Stacy’s Mom” - Fun song.

87 The Darkness – “I Believe in a Thing Called Love” - Also fun

86 Aerosmith – “Jaded” - I dunno, I know some people didn't like this one, but I did.

84 Linkin Park – “In the End” - I love LP, and this song helped me get into rock music.

82 Matchbox Twenty – “Unwell” - One of those songs played to death but an early favorite when I was starting to get more into music.

78 Plain White T’s – “Hey There Delilah” - I like this song, and learning it on guitar helped my finger picking abilities.

77 Nickelback – “How You Remind Me” - Like In The End, helped me get into music.

72 Jet – “Are You Gonna Be My Girl” - First song I ever learned on bass, has a great groove.

69 Evanescence – “Bring Me to Life” - Fun to play on acoustic, nice dramatic pop-rock song.

54 Norah Jones – “Don’t Know Why” - Such a chill song

53 Blink-182 – “All the Small Things” - Classic

52 Shakira (Feat. Wyclef) – “Hips Don’t Lie” - This song reminds me of this girl I had a huge crush on (she was Colombian as well). We used to sing the song together at work.

46 Kid Rock & Sheryl Crow – “Picture” - Perfect duet/collab.

44 Red Hot Chili Peppers – “Californication” - I LOVE RHCP, first rock band I ever got into

42 Train – “Drops Of Jupiter (Tell Me)” - Like I said...also reminds me of some turbulent times with my stepdad

35 John Mayer – “Daughters” - JM writes good songs, this being one

33 Johnny Cash – “Hurt” - Hauntingly beautiful

32 Maroon 5 – “This Love” - Songs About Jane is a guilty pleasure of mine. And this song is so fun

22 Alicia Keys – “Fallin’” - Beautiful voice and piano playing. Composition is great

19 Destiny’s Child – “Bootylicious” - Fun fun fun fun

18 Christina Aguilera – “Beautiful” - Good mature song from an artist I don't like

17 Coldplay – “Clocks” - Yes.

15 U2 – “Beautiful Day” - Sometimes this bores me, but sometimes I love it

14 Gnarls Barkley – “Crazy” - This guy brings back good musical styles and makes them palatable today

04 Eminem – “Lose Yourself” - He was the man back in the day

02 OutKast – “Hey Ya!” - So colorful and fun, maybe the funnest song on this list

01 Beyoncé (Feat. Jay-Z) – “Crazy In Love” - Love the dramatic part of it, love the poppy parts as well.

Pretty much the songs I consider good and would go out of my way to listen to. Some just for nostalgia, some because I genuinely enjoy them.

I think My Chemical Romance's "Helena" should have been on the list (unless I missed it).

I love ya James but in this case, cirlcle gets the square. That song makes Third Eye Blind seem as heavy as Dying Fetus by comparison.
