Yeah, this whole list makes me go WTF. I always thought Bark at the Moon was a fan favorite album, and Fear of the Dark certainly doesn't deserve to be here.

Kiss - Music from The Elder
ok, this doesn't surprise me, but from what I've heard from it, it's not that bad. I think it's legacy is much worse than the reality.

Ozzy Osbourne - Bark at the Moon
What are they smoking? It's not as good as the first two albums, but it's still a really solid album. No Rest For The Wicked would have been a better pick, but it seems they chose this because they don't like 80s.

Metallica - Load, Reload, and St. Anger
These don't deserve to be lumped together. St Anger does deserve to be on the list, because it is truly dreadful, but Load and Reload have a lot of great music on them, even though I'm not a fan of the albums overall. But one of the 10 worst heavy metal albums they can think of? Do they even listen to metal?

Most of that list just seems like they don't like 80s metal and just chose a few obvious choices, and a few wtf choices. Really nothing insightful or original.
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

Seriously?!?  Death Magnetic is WAY better than Load or Reload.  It may have been mixed like sh#t.  But, it's probably their best album since Justice.

And, Motley's s/t album is totally underrated.  Granted, I bought it and traded it to a friend of mine for pizza money at college when it came out.  Having gone back and reacquired it, though... it's a very solid album.  It's not Feelgood 2, which is what everyone wanted.  I mean, who gets rid of their lead singer after their most successful album to date?  Not the best move.  But, Corabi brought a lot to the table.

And, who really considers KISS's 'The Elder' a metal album?  That's just silly!  I agree...  way underrated, too.

Was Def Leppard ever really metal?  The first 3 albums were great hard rock, not metal.  Their edge left (understandably) with Rick Allen's arm.  And, Adrenalize was the beginning of the end of them as even a hard rock band.  Everything after (and including) that album are "meh".

This is seriously lacking Cryptopsy's The Unspoken King, Queensryche's Addicted To Chaos, Any Deathcore album, and plenty of others.

Ya seriously.
The mixing is one thing, but it really sounds like "we're playing thrash again because that's what our fans want", and the album just feels soulless for me.
I do enjoy "That Was Just Your Life" and "The Day That Never Comes", but the rest of it is fairly meh for me, Load however is more interesting.
It's not typical Metallica, but I don't think it's a miss-album.

FOTD is top 3 Maiden.  Never Say Die is truly an amazing album and very underrated.  Bark at the Moon is one of Ozzy's weakest efforts but top 10 worst of all time is just laughable.  Load and Reload I enjoy very much and St Anger I'd say is one of my fav Metallica albums, if not my favourite.
Everyone else, except Wolfking is wrong.

It's certainly not typical Metallica.  However, "Bleeding Me" is one of my favorites off that album.  I'm just glad I'm way past the initial shock of the album's change of direction and their haircuts when it first came out and I can appreciate Load for the handful of decent songs it has.

I think most people can agree that, aside from being their shittiest album, St. Anger is one of the shittiest SOUNDING albums ever created.  I can't believe Lars is still defending the tin can drum sound.

I'm not sure that I would even call Load and Reload heavy metal. They definitely don't derserve to be on that list. St. Anger does though.

Fuck them.  This quote is bullshit.  I'm fucking sick of critics bashing VH albums because Sammy Hagar's on them.  Sammy Hagar is a fantastic singer, an excellent guitar player, and added a shitload of depth to what Van Halen was capable of.  No disprespect to the Roth era, because I loved it, but this constant bashing of the Sammy era albums is ridiculously tiresome and completely without merit.

Besides, on a list of top heavy metal albums, why would this douche even be discussing Van Halen??

Seems like a typical "I don't like these albums, so NOBODY IS ALLOWED TO LIKE THEM" list. Lol-worthy at best.

If they put Death Magnetic in there the list wouldn't be lol-worthy, it would be rofl-worthy.

Load & Reload = When you look past the filler material, you realize these albums contain some of Metallica's best songs they've ever written. Bleeding Me, Outlaw Torn, and Fixxxer are prog masterpieces, just to name a few.

I'd go so far as to say that their S/T was better than any other album the band released.  But, it's not really a "Motley Crue" album.

I might go so far as to agree with you.  It's a really solid hard rock album.  It's just a shame that Tommy and Nikki originally blamed John Corabi for the album's failure.  They made a calculated move to go in the opposite direction of Dr. Feelgood and go really heavy and dark.  Mission accomplished.  At least he went on to make 2 more good albums with Bruce Kulick after that.

Raven, the Pack is Back.... NO WAY!!!!!!! This album defines Metal and is really a concept album based upon Wackos time at Burger King, its a deep album that must be listened to with only the highest quality headphones, look..Im not saying the remaster of it is done correctly, but I don think that should be taken into account..sigh......
