I swear JP never says anything negative; at least from the interviews I see him in. He may be the most positive man alive.

At 1:11-1:14 on the GuitarTV interview with JP, he gives an usual reason for them to break up their tours into legs... Insane?

On a serious note, JP is just an amazing person. I can't think of a bad thing to say about him in any regard.
"...the last is just a flurry of notes...so just do it and hope you don't suck..." - JP

John comes off as such an amazing guy.  He always seems so calm and level-headed.   :censored  Makes me so jealous!   :lol

Great interview, thank you! Even when he's speaking calmly, you can feel passion.

This. He strikes me as a real optimist. I remember watching I Can Remember When (a documentary about the WDADU era) and Charlie describing John at the time as the childlike, idealistic enthusiast of the band where Kevin was the mature, guarded cynic. Fitting descriptions, and it reminded me of the dynamic I have with one of my own friends (who incidentally is also an overtly optimistic shred guitarist). I personally find JP's positive outlook both inspiring and endearing, and always have the utmost respect for people with that kind of worldview even if I tend to espouse quite pragmatic and pessimistic ideas myself a lot of the time.

Anyways, cool interview. Was interesting finding out how the AXE FX fits into his live rig.

Nice, thanks for posting this!
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.
