Well, I forgot how powerful the soundtrack to Inception was until I heard it at the DT Concert (have to remember ot pick it up later).  I was looking it up on Youtube and came across this link:

Hans Zimmer is brilliant.

You can clearly see where he utilized this technique here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CspFuuWpZkY&feature=related

Here's the piece DT played, btw:

Yeah, Zimmer's stated that almost all of the soundtrack is built out of that song.

Orion....that's the one with a bunch of power chords and boringly harsh vocals, isn't it?

Zimmer > Williams. How's that for controversy?

Zimmer is awesome. I love the two scores he and James Newton Howard did for Nolan's Batman movies. I hope Newton Howard is on-board with the third one. The two of them do great work together.

Yes, INCEPTION a great score. I never bought it, but only because I usually save scores as Christmas gift requests. It's on this year's "Dear Santa" list.  :)

A bit off topic (since it isn't about Zimmer), but anyone else think Danny Elfman's Terminator Salvation score is severely underrated?
