I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

The swirly/wavy one?
3 corn snakes, 1 boa, 1 python, 1 milk snake, 1 king snake, 1 rat snake, and a partridge in a pear tree.

Yes.  And it looks like it could do some serious damage if it connected with anyone's noggin.

It was actually an ornately decorated , straight Titanium shaft but during one of the sound checks James asked JP to hand him his stand and well.....just by simply grasping the stand it contorted it into a serpent like shape.

James swing is that thing around so much I wouldn't be surprised if someone got a concussion on stage, especially with this one. But either way, it's kind of cool that he now has a more "unusual" mic stand.

I noticed it in the videos, with the Majesty symbol as the base! It compliments JR's music-stand on his keyboard rig really well!

Now all we need is some Majesty symbols engraved on JP's soloing-foot-stands, Majesty-shaped cymbal/gong for MM, and some Majesty-styled throwing stars for JM!

yeah, the base is the majesty symbol but the stand itself is in the shape of a bow.

I wonder how a Majesty logo shaped cymbal would look... Probably pretty dead with all the holes in it

It's an old joke that JLB digs holes during the long instrumental sections of DT songs when they play live so that the time will pass by.

Has James had a mic stand with the majesty logo as a base before? Either he has or I am feeling uncanny strange deja vu.

He had the Octavarium/star base, but not Majesty, I don't think.
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

It's a crazy shaman walking stick.

Or a mic stand that endured a dramatic turn of events.
