What does the V. mean?

Just a quick question then one of the kind mods can lock.

What does the V. format mean in the thread titles in this subforum?   I just dont get it!  :huh:

If threads get over a certain length it makes the forum software act glitchy (since the board's upgrade is this still true?) so we regularly lock large threads and start a new version.

And yet there's a 200+ page what are you listening to thread that no one seems to be doing anything about, even though I've mentioned it like 3 times in the thread.
