Wow, you're so awesome Wasteland. How do you have such an extensive bootleg collection, if I may ask? Anyways, thanks so much!
Well, the obvious answer is that I have a passion for live recordings of Dream Theater. I enjoy little changes, subtle variation of performances (like the three consecutive recorded shows in the IAW tour where James held the note "Soul" way longer than usual in the last verse of LTL, for instance). As for the quantity, I was lucky enough to be able to form a small bulk using websites such as house of bootlegs and limelight bootlegs, that now have taken different paths from mine. Then I joined the DC++ DT lossless hub, a small community where everyone shared his bootlegs freely via the DC++ client software. There is where I have acquired a good 60% of what I have. It was a very good place, and great traders like Weymolith shared their extensive collections (we are talking of hundreds of gigabytes, even terabytes for some users) with everyone. Unfortunately, that place does not exist anymore. Money is always the bitch, you know. The rest is Dimeadozen, and recently Grateful Dreams. I have also made some a couple of mail trades over the last two years, with some unique recordings that are still in the shadows and that I don't think will ever be shared because of their incomplete statuses, mainly consisting of footage of tha last tour.
All in all, it's been a fun ride. Even though my collection might look extensive, keep in mind that I am and will likely always be, the "new one" in the broad DT bootleg community. There are some people out there (some are on this board too) that are way ahead of me
