Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

Well, today I accomplished a long time goal of mine, and Bridges in the Sky was playing when I did it.  So at the moment, BITS is essentially my favorite song in the universe.  And I do believe it wins in terms of chorus alone -- one of the best choruses Dream Theater have ever done.

But, trying to look at it objectively... it's probably at the bottom of these three.  Which isn't to say anything negative about it.  Home and The Glass Prison are just really amazing songs.

Wow, this is an unfair poll, if I ever saw one!!

I love Home, it's my favourite song on SFAM,
But... I love Bridges in The Sky so much, too...

Glass Prison is probably one of my least favourite DT tracks, apart from everything before the vocals come in.

I'd rank them...

1. Home
2. Bridg-

uh...
No, wait...

1. Bridges In Th-

....

Okay, for real

1. Home
2. Bridges In The Sky
3. The Glass Prison

That was tough.

Bridges In The Sky (great song, but it will take a little more to beat my favorite song from SFAM)

OH SHIT. I've never been stumped in a thread like this.

BITS hasn't stood the test of time yet, but I can tell it will.
TGP is my favourite song in the entire AA snoozer.
Home is magnificent and was maybe one of the last songs I "got" on SFAM, causing it to stand out.

I'll have to go with:

1. The Glass Prison
2. Home
3. Bridges In The Sky

**#2 and 3 will probably change when they play this in Toronto in a few weeks. In fact after seeing it live, it'll probably jump up to #1, bumping TGP to #2, but that's a post for the future.

Bridges in the Sky

I thought this would be tough, but it really wasn't once I started typing. I hold both Home and The Glass Prison in such high regard that it was always going to be BITS on the bottom despite how much I actually like the song (favorite off the new album aswell). It was a little harder deciding the order of Home and TGP, but as much as I like TGP I think I consider Home as more of a favorite. :corn

The first two are top 15 songs. Home is great as well, just not as amazing.

The Glass Prison is one of my all time favorites.

Bridges in the Sky is fantastic, but still growing on me.

I always thought that Home was the one that was highly and enormously over rated.   Ironically, I have the same description for Home that I criticize other people for making about other DT songs.   It's a great riff, but its a bit overlong.  I like the single edit better.

I don't consider the three songs to have much similarity at all, so I'm not sure what you're trying to get across in this poll. However, as I cannot resist voting in polls...

1. Home (by far and away my #1 DT song, so no contest here)

2. Bridges in the Sky

3. The Glass Prison

Interesting. I definitely get similar vibes from all three songs. Epic progressive metal. Home and BITS also have Middle-Eastern-ish flourishes used to similar effect. The Glass Prison does not (that I can think of, at least), but makes up for it by being awesome.

1. The Glass Prison
2. Bridges In The Sky
3. Home

Very close contest though. I would argue that you could place at least a few tracks from Train Of Thought here as well, though I'm hard pressed to narrow it down to one. The Dark Eternal Night is a little too goofy to fit in perfectly here. A Nightmare To Remember should come close in theory, though I'd argue that it's execution is.... less than stellar, and certainly a par below these three.

This! Can't decide between Home and BITS (quite possibly my favorite two DT songs ever), but TGP is one of my least favorite Dream Theater songs.
