Road trips are perfect for listening to albums and artists you have always wanted to listen to but never had the time.  So there's that.

Or just huge singalong shits.  I love singing along to Soundgarden on long, solo drives cos I can belt the shit out of it.

I'll have more later, but just to get you started:

Judas Priest- Breaking the Law and Heading out to the Highway

Iron Maiden-The Trooper

Dream Theater-Overture 1928, The Spirit Carries On, The Count of Tuscany, On the Backs of Angels

Joe Satriani-Flying in a Blue Dream

AD/DC-Rock and Roll Train and War Machine

Black Sabbath-Neon Knights, Heaven and Hell, The Mob Rules, Slipping Away

Queenstown-The Lady Wore Black, Eyes of a Stranger...

Ooops! Maybe I should have said "it depends on how long your trip is going to be!"

Anyway, those are some of MY favorites to listen to while driving...
I can't stop the world from turning around, or the pull of the moon on the tide, but I don't believe that we're in this alone, I believe we're along for the ride...

I immediately thought of USA Up All Night.  Anybody else used to watch that show on USA Network?

Winger would be better!

Some other good driving tunes (or tunes about driving)

Rainbow - Death Alley Driver
Deep Purple - Highway Start, Space Truckin'
Sabbath - Trashed
Mr. Big - Alive & Kickin'
Rush - Dreamline, Red Barchetta (I'm partial to the "Working Man" version with JLB on vocals)
Satriani - Summer Song, Motorcycle Driver
Whitesnake - Here I Go Again
Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody (headbanging is required)
War - Low Rider (or the Gary Hoey instrumental version)
The Proclaimers - I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)

Hot damn, I remember that show.

Brent, come on you know you sang that in your car 20 something years ago. :lol  I saw them back up Kiss with Winger on the Hot In The Shade tour.

Oh.......I getcha.  You're talking Slaughter..........I came up with One Direction on Google :lol

I did like me some Slaughter back in the day but not that song really...........and like many of the (what I would call) second tier bands - even say Tesla - they never got any radio/chart action here in Australia.    Only diehards in Oz would even know who they are/were.

I actually thought The Wild Life was quite an under rated album - some more mature song writing on that.

Why would I ever do that to you?! :lol

Yeah, they were very good live as well. I liked the second Vinnie Vincent album with 2 of the band members on it as well.

I got Slaughter and Danger Danger on the HITS shade tour.

And YES, All Systems Go is an AWESOME album.  It is Mark Slaughter at his best, IMO.

The Proclaimers - I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles).  Just make sure you do not leave the track on a loop where it keeps playing on and on during the trip.  It could drive you insane.

Judas Priest- Breaking the Law and Heading out to the Highway

Speaking of Priest, also Worth Fighting For works great.
I use my sig to pimp some bands from Italy! Check out Elvenking (Power / Folk metal), Folkstone (Rock / Medieval metal), Arcana Opera (Gothic/Noir/Heavy metal) and the beautiful voice of Elisa!
