I usually start from OTBOA, but I'll sometimes start from BMUBMD.  I don't think it's really wrong either way.
"All great works are prepared in the desert, including the redemption of the world. The precursors, the followers, the Master Himself, all obeyed or have to obey one and the same law. Prophets, apostles, preachers, martyrs, pioneers of knowledge, inspired artists in every art, ordinary men and the Man-God, all pay tribute to loneliness, to the life of silence, to the night." - A. G. Sertillanges

I skipped it the first several times, until my familiarity with the rest of the album caught up to it.

Yes I do for the most part, but only because I've heard it many more times than the rest. It's not a reflection of the song. I expect to stop doing it soon-ish.

No way. The song is awesome, so why would I skip it?

I've done it on a couple of listens, just because I know it so well already and I'm just getting to know the album. Once I'm really familiar with the whole thing I'll just listen in its entirety every time.

On the first listen, no, but later, yes. It's a fantastic track, and it's even one of my favorites off the album. But I know what you mean by feeling it's not part of the album, since I've been listening to it since June. Maybe after I've let the other tracks sink in as much, I'll look at it differently.

This exactly.

I tend to skip the single for the first two week since I played it a billion times.  Once I do the same to the rest of the album it will go back into rotation.

I do not have a problem cause I only listened to OTBOA once when it first came out then decided not to listen to it again until the album comes out. I also didn't check out any of the snippits from the other songs at all. Proud of how I managed this :)

I did for the first few times to get "caught up", but now it's bell to bell every spin.

I usually skip OTBOA. I've heard it too many times and I want to hear something new.

I don't skip over OTBOA, since I think it's one of the better songs on the album. If anything, I'll skip BMUBMD.

No!

1) I stopped listening to OTBOA like month and half before album release
2) It's the perfect intro for the album and I always listened to ADTOE as whole album yet

I did the first time I listened to the album.
