Anyone else skip straight to track 2 each time?
« on: September 16, 2011, 05:54:02 PM »
Nothing against OtBoA but it doesn't seem to belong to the album as it's been out for so long already.  I guess I have a weird way of looking at these things though.

No.  The only time I thought about doing it was when I first bought the album, and I knew the drive was so short that I wouldn't get through more than 2-3 songs.  But it's such a good song that I really don't want to skip it.

But I love OTBOA and sometimes just listen to it by itself :D

I have played it less than any of the other new songs. I don't skip it though if I'm just going through my routine all-the-way-through listen.

No.

I first listened to OTBOA when I first heard ADTOE, so, it's not overexposed to me at all.

Not to mention that it's FANTASTIC!

Yes I do for the most part, but only because I've heard it many more times than the rest. It's not a reflection of the song. I expect to stop doing it soon-ish.

I listened to it loads of times before the album come out, but I've never skipped it. Probably my third favourite song on the album, I'm not growing tired of it at all.

First time through, yes, I wanted to get to the songs I hadn't heard yet. Otherwise, I play ADTOE all the way through every time I play it.

I listened to it quite a bit before the album released so I usually do skip it.  It's not a bad song but its one of my least favorite from the album.  I'm not sure if I'm just burnt out or if it just doesn't click with me.

The only times I don't skip it is when I put the album on repeat all, and it comes on after Beneath the Surface.  Usually I'm too focused on whatever I'm working, and I don't notice that it's playing, so I let it run.

This. OTBOA is the 3rd best song on the album, so it's gonna get played.

No, simply for the fact I refused to over play the track when it came out. Its very fresh to me and I love the song.

No. That's why I find playing the new song a million times before hearing the album a bad idea. I listened to it three times or so, decided it's great and makes me really excited to hear the album, and left it at that. Now I can fully enjoy it on CD.

I do skip it. I love it but it doesn't matter. I 've watched the video clip like 5 times now but when I listen to the album my priority is to familiarize myself with the rest of the songs...

I skipped it the first few times.

I don't anymore now that OTBoA is slightly less familiar.

This is such a good album...  ;D

Considering I listened to it like 50 times before ADTOE came out, sometimes I do skip it. Until I break even on the songs, then I'll go back to the entire album.

When I'm anywhere but on my road bike I listen to the whole thing. I only ride about an hour, so lately I've found myself skipping BMUBMD, it's the only song that's not clicking 100% for me.

I haven't been able to bring myself to listen to it since I've had the whole album. I really ran that song into the ground once it was released. I think once all the other songs on the album reach 60+ plays and catch up, I'll start listening to it again lol

The first few times I listened to the album, I listened to it the ENTIRE way through. However, I pretty much skip OTBOA once in a while because I have heard it a lot during the months before release.

No, I never skip OTBOA. ADTOE is definitely an album that deserves to be listened to from start to finish in my opinion, and the fact that I knew OTBOA beforehand doesn't change that.

I skip it most of the times, not because I don't like the song, but because it already went through some serious digesting time to soak in, as opposed to the other song in album, even though I play the whole album every once in a while. The whole idea is to wait until all songs a in the same level of the whole digestion process until I can actually feel the whole album's in the same level.
