Custom, my dad is a luthier, he built it. Zebrawood top, Mahogany body, EMG's, ebony board, wilkinson trem, and one of those N-Tune built in tuners.

I demand more pictures of that. It's beautiful.

Its a crappy pic taken with an iphone, ill find some better ones.....

Does your dad build those for a living? Does he actually cut the wood and stuff too? I am pretty interested, I've wanted a custom guitar forever.

Not for a living, but he does sell them for some side cash. Mainly it is a hobby. Yes, he cuts the wood. Actually, the Zebrawood guitar i posted earlier was his first self made guitar, so the body was a warmoth, but he did the routing and cut the neck. Everything else he has done on his own.

How much does he charge for a fully custom guitar? Body fresh cut and everything? I'd be very interested in getting a custom explorer made. Totally serious.

Hmmm..... I would need to talk to him about it. He is usually really busy with his real job. Where do you live?

EDIT: This is pretty off topic, can you continue this discussion in a PM?

Yes, but one man making it wouldn't have to pay off dozens of workers.

I just got a Fender Stratocaster. It's a Mexican built, but it sounds really good to my ears.
After years of playing on humbucked PRS and Ibanez guitars, I'm entering the single coil domain, and it feels just right. Finally the character I was looking for all along.

I could've sworn I've seen the third guitar before (green one).
Was it you, or does someone else have a similar one?

Awesome! I was thinking of getting one, were it not for the purple. However green is my favourite colour, so I guess I'll have to start saving again. :lol

Do you have any idea how long I looked at this picture before realizing that it had in it a keyboard, bass and amp?
