Album of the Year 1998 - nomination phase
« on: September 15, 2011, 10:05:55 AM »
Rules:
-Post your 5 favorite albums from 1998; the order does not matter.  If you only like less than 5, list those.  Just no more than 5.
-List the band name first and then the album name.  Like this: Band name - Album name
-If you change your mind, edit your original post.  Do not post them again.
-Only studio and live albums will be counted; no best of, compilations, etc.
-From this point on, any and all Dream Theater albums cannot be nominated.  Side projects featuring DT members can be.
-Posts that you do not follow these rules will not be counted.

Nomination phase will last two days.

Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

The bones of beasts and the bones of kings become dust in the wake of the hymn.
Mighty kingdoms rise, but they all will fall, no more than a breath on the wind.

I've seen others do it?  If they really won't count it, I don't care really, I highly doubt Death or Converge will win anyways.

EDIT: Mizzl did it...like right above me, not as big but he changed it.  Am I to be the one singled out?

Man.   I don't know what I was doing in 1998 because I only own one album from that year and I bought this one only a couple years ago.

Yeah, Electrified is pretty good.  Shame is easily top 3 PC69 material.  Love those Axel Rudi Pell, Edguy and Bob Catley records too.

Didn't you read the rules?  Changing from the default text size voids a nomination.
I've seen others do it?  If they really won't count it, I don't care really, I highly doubt Death or Converge will win anyways.

EDIT: Mizzl did it...like right above me, not as big but he changed it.  Am I to be the one singled out?

I am 99% sure he was just messing with you, but on the off 1% chance that he wasn't, that does not void a nomination.

Now, not using the proper band name - album format, as explicitly stated in the rules, possibly could...

Afgan Whigs    1965
OutKast          Aquemini
Liquid Tension Experiment    LTE
