So, I figured out the perfect CD to get signed when I go to the meet & greet in September: The Crucible Of Man: Something Wicked Part 2. The touring lineup for the album is the same as the current lineup, so it it will include everyone.

Well the VIP packages come with plenty of signable stuff (flag, poster, laminate, ticket itself, etc...), so it's not like you won't have anything to get signed.

Yes, but aside from the ticket, I plan on burning it all in front of Jon.

No real reason really, just want to see his reaction.

Nothing like some burnt offerings! :neverusethis:

Normally when someone says something like this, I'd think they were kidding, but some of you really dislike Jon... so I'm not actually sure if you're kidding or not.

EDIT: 3,666th post!! :2metal:

I don't dislike Jon. I think he's a douchebag, but I have no like or dislike for him. He mostly writes good music, so he's cool by me.

If I ever get to meet Schaffer, the first question I'm asking is what "Splatch" means. The dude at Brazil Under Ice had an opportunity to ask Greely and didn't, so it's up to me it seems. The time will come. Oh, and when I have the money and if they're still available, I'm buying signed versions of Something Wicked 1 and 2 from Newbury Comics. Sure I already own the two albums, but they wont be the first multi copy albums I own from Iced Earth. Plus, I want Ripper's signature.

EDIT: fuck it, I'm buying them now.

EDIT 2: Fuck it, I'm going to bed instead.

That was a quick and subtle change of events.  :lol

And I rather my stuff be signed in person, rather than buying it somewhere. I had my Sacred Oath and ticket and pick signed by them personally, and my friend offered me a band-signed Shovel Headed Kill Machine for $10 so I bought that. And my Endgame booklet was from a pre-order so no choice in that, and the poster that will come with my Exodus CD will be hand-signed, but not personally.

Why don't you just see Tim live and have him sign it?

Actually, I've yet to get him to sign any IE stuff. I doubt he'd have a problem with it though.

I like how on "see" he just changes the key of the whole song. lol

Great stuff, just so weird seeing him like that and hearing him that....I dunno, not barlowish?

EDIT: Actually, that was pretty rough, Barlow seemed to lack his high range and was shifting key pretty often. Surprised Jon didn't ram him out of the way and replace it with some chugging.

Then you need to have your ears examined. It wasn't horrible at all, but it was far from great.

He didn't even have a musical accompaniment making the feat all the more impressive in my opinion.

95% of people doing what he did have no accompaniment and pull it off. He didn't pull it off, but he did a decent job.

I think it's sad that the guy can't even sing the National Anthem without being ripped apart.

Barlow is one of my favorite singers. But a sup par performance is a sup par performance. No matter who the person is or what the song is. I wouldn't care if it's DG singing a song about how his children were raped, if he does a bad job, he does a bad job.

He was in his uniform, standing completely still. It's not like he could have let loose. He restrained himself. It would have been cheesy as hell if he went into metal mode. He didn't need to show off like every pop singer and give it his all. He just sang it. Besides, it looked like a Nascar event or something so who cares. :neverusethis:

You can come up with as many excuses as you want. You could tell me Jon was behind him having butt sex with him without using lube. It doesn't change the fact that it was a sub par performance.

Nope. I'm just critical. You bring up PoS' TPE. I won't complain about a certain thing. And I praise barlow like crazy. It's just in this case it wasn't great.

Who cares if he wasn't perfect? I care way more about if he sounds good in Iced Earth (which he does) than how well he can sing the nation anthem.
Cole: "Ow I just got hit in the balls"
Me: "How?"
Cole: "Well you know when you try to scratch your balls, and you scratch too hard?
I'll admit sometimes I want to listen to Dragonforce.

His voice is just so god damn annoying.

But yea....he did do a better job. Jesus I'm depressed now. Oh whatever, I'll just write it off as barlow having a bad day.

Just 3 songs. The rest of the album is a history book with music put behind it.
