A bunch of people on Facebook that I know are pitching a fit over this for so many ridiculous reasons and I'm over here rolling my eyes at people seriously acting like this is the worst/dumbest thing ever and they're all upset that they have 'the nerve' to ask for $15k for 7 songs. Like... okay?  :|

When you pledge you get a cd right?  This isn't like they are asking for that amount of money to get started then you need to pay for the cd.  What's so different to going and buying it in a cd store?

If you donate $5 or $10, you don't get a reward. If you donate $15, you get a digital download. For $20 you get a physical edition of the EP. Which is steep to me, especially for a 7 song set of Christmas covers. But, it's not THAT steep, and if you're a fan of Barlow and Schaffer, that's probably totally fine. Unless you're rabidly into hating this like some people are, mostly because they like attacking Jon for being a loon, but that's not even relevant

No way I'd donate for nothing but say this was a new metal EP or something from both of them, I'd pay 15 bucks, no problem.  The content of it makes it questionable but if you don't like it, don't give them money, it's pretty simple.

Am I the only one who really couldn't give a shit about this?

I mean, I do in the sense that I think its vomit inducing.

I good, I thought I was the only one.

You also get the CD signed. And I'd imagine the covers are of the metal genre. Even if I only listen once every blue moon like Tribute to the Gods, I'd still get more use out of it than the book which I'd probably only look at every bright florescent pink moon.

Yea I don't really see anything wrong with this, if you are a fan you will "donate" and get your moneys worth IMO (well, if the music is any good but that's going to be the case for anything music related).

Having said that, I have no interest, but for those who do, that's cool.  If you picked some musicians I really liked and set up similar, I might be on board.

On a totally random note, someone on Reddit said / claimed to be General Lee's grand grand how-many-grand-it-takes daughter and I suggested her to listen to Gettysburg  :metal

Just saw the news on the Barlow/Schaffer Project. Is it wrong that this is what popped into my head?

Brothers and Sisters! I'm going to need to hear all of your voices on this next one. Sing it loud! Let me here you!

We wish you a Merry Christmas,
We wish you a Merry Christmas (Come on, I can't hear you!)
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
beul ni teh efac = Lube In The Face / That has to be wrong.  :lol / EDIT: Oh, it's Blue! I'm an idiot.
Pardon the interruption, but I just had to run in and celebrate the majesty of Lube in the Face as highest moment in roulette history

I saw on blabbermouth that Casey Grillo is going to play drums on the new EP.  That's kind of cool, I got a picture with him back before covid ruined 2020 when he played locally with Queensryche since I was wearing a Kamelot shirt.

The debut may not be everyone's cup of tea, but this new remix and remaster sounds really good. They didn't take anything out of the mix this time, so I'm excited for Night of the Stormrider's eventual re-release.

I think the Dark Saga boxset already fixed everything that there was to fix with the original recordings, but this sounds good indeed.

I suppose Schaffer didn't feel like pulling a Sharon Osbourne and have Stu singing over the original recordings  :D but after all the original vocals fit in line anyway with the style so it's all good.

Am I imagining things or does the Winter Nights version of I Died For You have the same music as a song from D&W III?

EDIT: Yeah, It's Timeless Spirit.

I love this version of I Died For You.  I think Matt did something similar a number of months ago n his facebook page, as he called it a "cowboy version" of the song.

I need to spend some more time listening to the EP - I got the files last week, but just haven't been up to listening to Christmas music.  I found it really cool to see my name in the digital booklet though.  I sure as hell wasn't going to pay extra to put my name in Jon's book, but at least they threw that it on the EP.

I've been listening again to the band's first albums, mainly Burnt Offerings and Stormrider..I forgot how much I used to love this band. Looking back I'm amazed by  Schaffer and Shawver's writting, mainly Schaffer's..They through many intriguing elements into their songs, really good staff!  :metal

The 30th Anniversary debut remix sounds great and fully intact. No chopping or omitting like the 2002 remix. Can't wait to add it to the collection.

Oh just a lovely day over here in the US  :lol

I'm not really shocked, but pretty fucking bummed to see someone I actually met and have a signed ticket stub from actually there.  What a sad day in American history and to see this guy is apart of it.  No mask either which is actually the least offensive thing about what he's doing.
