20. Tool – Lateralus – “Lateralus:”
The best Tool song by far made it pretty high on my list. It has a very “epic” feel to it and Maynard really knows how to write some abstract lyrics. I’d really like to hear someone’s interpretation of these.

Lateralus is easily one of my favorite albums of all time, so it’s really no surprise that this song is on here

19. Death – Symbolic – “Symbolic:”
I feel like this song just summarizes everything about Death into one song. There’s just so many amazing riffs and the vocals are outstanding. It’s a shame Chuck had to die so young. I think it would have been interesting to see where they would have gone with their sound after The Sound of Perseverance. FUCK YOU CANCER!

18. Megadeth – Rust in Peace – “Tornado of Souls:”
Another one of the greatest guitar solos ever. One thing that always grabbed me about Megadeth is their ability to make tradeoff solos sound amazing. This song is a pretty good example of it. The solo is just SO CATCHY. I always have it stuck in my head for hours after hearing it. Brilliant thrash song.

It is a shame Chuck died so young, as Control Denied was pretty cool. Did you know The Sound of Perseverance was originally going to be Control Denied but the record label wanted one more Death album so he converted it and its my favorite Death record hahaha.

I've considered doing a list like this in the past, but I don't think I'd stand a chance of ranking the songs, and my taste is out enough from the norm of this board that I can't see many people really giving a shit.

This is mostly good stuff though.
