Not huge into punk music... but Rancid and Operation Ivy are pretty cool beans

There was also a local band called Public Uproar that put on some great shows. They haven't done anything since 2009 though. pretty sure they disbanded.

I think Punk (and Punk related genres) is what I listen to the most. Some of my favorites are

Infest
Lack of Interest
Negative Approach
The Fall
Discharge
No Comment
Ramones
Bad Religion
Minor Threat
2 Minutos
Pig Destroyer
Excruciating Terror
Crossed Out

and Hüsker Dü, but I prefer their Pop-ish alt rock era over the Hardcore one.

Holy shit Chris, you like punk? That's...out of character for you.

Anyway, I recommend The Casualties. Pure street punk. My friend got me into them in 9th grade and I still listen to them every so often.

The dead kennedys

For old school, hell yeah.

One of my enduring favorite bands is Dropkick Murphys. I've been a fan for close to ten years now and they continue to put out amazing albums
