The floating timeline album. Every song must be X years OLDER or YOUNGER than the previous song, where X is the tracklist number.

Example: first song is from 2010. Song 2 must be either from 2008 or 2012. If it's from 2008, song 3 must be from 2005 or 2011. And so on.

Maybe it was just a joke, but to make sure: there's no need to alternate between older / younger. Older songs can be picked as many times in a row as the following partecipant likes.

And HOF, I guess you came after romdrums, so you'd have to start from 2018 and pick a 2012 song (since going to 2024 isn't an option  :D)

I don't want to monopolize this, and usually I limit myself to one song per album, but if it gets slow, I found something pretty neat...

Songs with different versions that include extras (lyrics, outro/intro, etc)

1. Iron Maiden - The Wicker Man (extra vocals in the chorus, the version I heard first and prefer to the album one. The album chorus sounds so bare)

Songs with different versions that include extras (lyrics, outro/intro, etc)

1. Iron Maiden - The Wicker Man (extra vocals in the chorus, the version I heard first and prefer to the album one. The album chorus sounds so bare)
2. Megadeth - Et Tout Le Monde (the newer version has Cristina Scabbia from Lacuna Coil singing some of the song)
3. Tim Bowness - The Warm-Up Man Forever (band version) (bonus disc version with an extra guitar part, very U2-ish and very cool).

Songs Based on a novel :

1. Iron Maiden - To Tame A Land
2. Camel - End of the Line
3. KISS - Childhood's End (at the least, the title was taken from an Arthur C. Clarke novel)
4. Led Zeppelin - Moby Dick
5. Metallica - For Whom The Bell Tolls
6. Anthrax-Among The Living
7. Yes - The Gates of Delirium
8. Mastodon - Blood And Thunder
9. Iron Maiden - The Loneliness of the Long-Distance Runner
10. Spiral Architect - Fountainhead
11. Iron Maiden - Brave New World (three Iron Maiden songs on this list.  Not surprising)
12. Blind Guardian - And Then There Was Silence

I didn't want to post two entries, but:

Rush - Anthem fits, and I thought it was cool that the Police had a single where both the A- and B-sides were perhaps based on novels:
A: Don't Stand So Close To Me (Nabokov's Lolita) and B: Friends (Heinlein's Stranger In A Strange Land)
