I forgot to say: The Mars Volta is out of the question. All of their songs have crazy/made up words.

Why not? Also....

Each user has to copy and paste adding only one song to the album so in the end it's 12 songs, one per user, and each album has to have a different theme.
Whoever adds the last song of the album gets to say what the the theme for the next album will be and it starts all over again. Only ONE band repeat is allowed, per album.

SO....

01- Steve Vai - Ya-Yo Gakk
02- King Crimson - Thela Hun Ginjeet
03- Stone Sour - Hydrograd
04- Periphery - Erised
05- Toehider - It’s So Fikkis!!

09- The Mars Volta - Eriatarka

That one band repeat rule has certainly not been followed in recent years.

So, I've always tried to NEVER repeat a band in the list, but I've also adhered to the "I can only add one song per album" rule too.  Is that a rule?  Or is it more good decorum than an actual "rule"?

The rules do say one song per user.

I don't want MP playing with DT unless they were making a drummer change. If they let MM go and bring back MP, then fine, but no guest appearance please.

Might as well bump this, but I can't contribute right now.  Actually, I could, but it'd be another song from a same artist (which we sometimes do, but feels like cheating).  I could Google it, but that also feels like cheating (but maybe we could just call it "research"?)  I looked up a bunch of unfamiliar words in titles of songs I liked, and invariably they turned out to be obscure references in languages I'm not familiar with, so not actually made up.  I'm sure I might eventually stumble upon one, but after a few dozen it stopped being worth the effort.  I'm admitting defeat for this round for now, but maybe someone else has had better luck.

This is a fantastic song. I love how the beat in the chorus changes subtly every time, and it's truly "triumphant" in the end...

Oh for sure, and I love that Danny sneaks the first line of Ascension back in at the end of the song so the album starts and ends with that “open eye, the light outside” lyric. I love Voyager.

It is! That part was taken from the tango "Canaro en París" (1925) about the success of violinist, composer and orchestra director Francisco Canaro on his Paris tour.
