I'm a bit confused w/ this theme too. From what I gather it's supposed to be songs that seem like they're romantic/love songs, but the lyrics are actually about something creepy/sinister/depressing, yeah? I think Every Breath You Take is probably the best example. Anyway, I hate to use another Coheed song but they kind of have a lot of songs like this, so I'll go with:
Songs that has nothing to do with romanticism, on the contrary, about negative things like suicide, drugs, etc. but would never fail to spill all the couples to the dance floor.
1. Hotel California
2. Candle in the Wind - Elton John, about the tribulations and death of Marilyn Monroe
3. Guns 'n Roses - Sweet Child o' Mine
4. Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody
5. The Police - Every Breath You Take
6. Alice in Chains - Sludge Factory (or any piece of music they've ever recorded)
7. Korn - Ball Tongue
8. Eric Clapton - Tears in heaven
9. Metallica - Fade to Black
10. Los Del Rio - Macarena (Macarena is upset because her boyfriend, Vitorino, has joined the army. She retaliates by going out on the town and carousing with other men.)
11. Coheed & Cambria - Always & Never
12.
