8VM and any other 2 songs would get my vote.

Actually, 8VM alone would beat any other trio IMO.

I would choose Octavarium, These Walls, and Panic Attack, my three favorite songs from the album in descending order.

It's not "my three favorite songs", it's your favorite 3-song group that appear in order on the album.

These Walls, Sacrificed Sons, and Octavarium would have taken it for me, but alas... they will never meet..

I was basically saying the same thing as him.

What exactly was the purpose of this post? Quoting yourself without adding anything ?!

I like every track, but it makes choosing the last option easy, as you get the most music out of it.
I love this outlook, a bit.

That said, Octavarium is a song I've listened to so, so much that it doesn't sound like a song any more. It's just a list of warm noises. And the rest of the album is... really very evenly matched. You know? The Root of All Evil - The Answer Lies Within - These Walls is very close, (I'm listening to TALW right now, and it's so wonderful, and I will never understand its lukewarm reception,) but I might actually go for Panic Attack - Never Enough - Sacrificed Sons. Which, I'm aware, is a vote for Panic Attack over Octavarium, which, I know, that's an act of DT fan heresy, but hey! I do love Octavarium to pieces. It's just that... I've loved it to pieces!

I'm so afraid that this will happen to me as well :(

Unfortunately, the song list order doesn't lend itself to my optimal choice so I have to choose the last one too.

Can't pick one. This is the only DT album I can't stomach listening to in its entirety and I only barely like TRoAE and very much like PA. I can tolerate TW but the remaining 5 tracks do absolutely nothing for me.

Every option has at least one weaker song. I went with Panic Attack/Never Enough/Sacrificed Sons.

These Walls/I Walk Beside You/Panic Attack

I was going to go with the last option but would be because of Octavarium and only Octavarium but the 2 songs before it are good but they just feel weak knowing that song is coming up after them. Also I have always enjoyed listening to the songs in the option I chose.

Can't remember the last time I listened to Never Enough but I went with the last option!
While as a whole Never Enough isn't that great but it does have an awesome unison section. Sacrificed Sons and Octavarium are my favorite two off the album so I went with the last option.

Never Enough/Sacrificed Sons/Octavarium
