Cynic. I will probably earn some scorn points for this, but for me Rush's 90s studio output was the closest to bad the band's ever gotten.

When I want to listen to Rush, I will mostly always grab from the debut- mid 80's.  I would never say the 90's material was bad....there is no doubt it is of lesser quality then the earlier discs.  Counterparts is great though, gets my vote.

I thought the same about Veil of Maya but I found out that (I think) it's a reference to some literary work but I'll never know because I'm actually legally illiterate and just pay this guy I know in cheddar Bugles to dictate for me.
