That’s some really awesome album art. Fuck yeah!

Also I just realized I think The Sky is Red is their second longest song, just shorter than White

Also that's by far their worst album cover, finally supplanting the awkward looking TPS cover

Einar said months ago that they totally lost the taste for long and all over the place compositions talking about playing Forced Entry live. I am surprised to see the length of the closer. I hope it's not like Anathema's Back To The Start, which I thought was an epic closer reading the track list but it was not.

The album title just sounds like a metalcore/djent band, the closing track makes me very scared that they made a forced long song to please people even though they seem to have moved away from very long songs for a long time, and the song titles mostly sound cringy af.

But nonetheless, very hyped!

Also that's by far their worst album cover, finally supplanting the awkward looking TPS cover
UMMMMMM Tall Poppy Syndrome's cover is so much uglier man, though I do agree this is pretty bad. Is that buddha?

Eh, I think the cover is alright. In line with Coal and The Congregation I guess. They never had amazing covers, in my opinion, so this will have to do as long as the music is alright.
This first band is Soen very cool swingy jazz fusion kinda stuff.

The long final track could just be a more standard length with a long outtro or something too.

I think I'd love a The Art of Dying type song structure. That's an all-time classic in my book. Long brooding intro, crushing middle/main body of song, beautiful outro riff with crazy drum performance. If anyone can live up to Mario Duplantier's drumming, it'd be Baard! Alternatively, something like The Architect with a really good slow-building atmospheric section that bursts out into sheer aggression. We know Einar is capable of it since he was the one singing on that exact section in The Architect. :lol

Funny, I just saw Gojira over the weekend and my uber driver to the venue told me he picked him up earlier from the venue to take him and his wife to Walmart  :lol The driver had no idea who he was, but they spoke a bit about how his wife flew in for this and some shows while they are on tour just now.  He also told me he was french, so I didn't think he was lying.

How many Leprouses does it take to screw in a light bulb?

2, one to illuminate and one to observe the train to see how they did it there

The reason I’m less active here is because I’m not funny anymore

I’m curious as to what a good song title is. I guess I’ve never really thought about song titles being good or bad, unless it’s something like Crotch Duster

OBSERVE THE TRAIN

Well... why isn't it a good name for a song? I don't see anything wrong with it. It's not like Dragonforce or anything. "Observe the Train." Simple. I would think that title is benign for prog fans...

Until I hear the song and/or know what it's about, I find it hard to form any kind of opinion on whether it's a good song title or not.

Ariich is a freak, or somehow has more hours in the day than everyone else.

Observe The Train

0:00 - Sample of a train horn in the distance, then it beginning to chug along until it builds up to a consistent rhythm
0:23 - Train sample is replaced by a rhythmic, syncopated guitar riff
0:48 - Guitars cut out, Baard does a floor tom solo for an entire minute
1:48 - Verse with Einar whining
2:34 - Chorus "Observe the traaaain, observe the TRAAAAAAAIN as it goes DOWN, DOWN, LOOOOWEEEER" repeated four times
3:01 - Reprise of the first riff
3:26 - Suddenly, the instrumentation goes silent and a soft mellotron fades in
3:48 - ...could it be?!
4:00 - Steven Wilson guest verse, singing over mellotron and more floor toms until the end of the song

My uncle works at Leprous so I know this is all true.
