Fuck I just paid $10 for Spotify just to listen to the song and it doesn't fucking work... Awesome.

Edit: So I guess the song isn't available in Canada yet... I can play songs from their previous albums, but not From the Flame. I bet the song is gonna be on YouTube tomorrow and I will have wasted $10 and I'm low on money.

First impressions are that it's a fairly 'minimal' song for Leprous, in that it doesn't really have a climax of some sort or something to really break free from the verse-chorus-verse-chorus mould. I do think the verses are a bit dull right now, but damn, the chorus is just Leprous at its finest, it's so damn good. That chorus will probably be stuck in my head tomorrow all day.

Pretty much agree with this. Cool song, verse are a bit so and so (although the rhythm beneath is cool), and the chorus is great. Feels more like Bilateral/TPS Leprous than it does Coal/Congregation Leprous.

Don't agree with that at all. I feel like you could put this on The Congregation and it wouldn't stick out at all.

Overall I'm not impressed. The chorus is pretty good, but the verses are incredibly dull imo. Might grow on me, who knows.

I think it is the weakest track they released thus far.

Did they release the tracklist already?

Sounds like a fitting offering for the third track of an album. Something introverted after the initial assault.

Good find :tup

I always go on itunes to find tracklists. There are usually long previews for each track the days before the release of the albums, but I must try not to hear them this time.

From The Flame is a great single. The chorus gets stuck in your head at first listen, it's great for the radio. I hope it doesn't get old soon.

I hope, but they said that this album is more rock than metal. But if the quality of the album is good I don't mind..

Really digging the new song. Fantastic chorus, and I like the verses a lot too but then I tend to like those rhythmic verses when done well.

They updated the website with new merch bundles, and they have the tracklist including track lengths on there now too:

01. Bonneville (05:28)
02. Stuck (06:48)
03. From The Flame (03:51)
04. Captive (03:43)
05. Illuminate (04:21)
06. Leashes (04:09)
07. Mirage (06:48)
08. Malina (06:15)
09. Coma (03:55)
10. The Weight Of Disaster (06:00)
11. The Last Milestone (07:30)

Including shipping costs (which are surprisingly expensive assuming their shop is EU-based) I don't think the prices for t-shirt+CD bundles are worth it for me. May get a t-shirt at the show if it's not too expensive though.

They have played MB Indifferentia!  :hefdaddy
I read now the setlist on setlist.fm, I wasn't there. They have chosen more or less all the most voted songs on facebook. I hoped they played some old songs never played live like Mediocrity Wins, but it was still a great setlist!

The setlist was insane. Me and my friends were hoping for White but we got Passing instead, which was really cool. Accompanier by an 'Leprous is not a band known for delving into back catalogue, but for this festival we're making the exception'. Huge cheers ensued. The encore, Slave, was unplanned but the audience was making so much noise chanting 'Leprous! Leprous!'  They had no choice but to return. What a killer show. Absolutely the best of the festival

Hi guys, popping in after almost two years  ;D.

Anyways, I saw Leprous a couple of hours ago in Ilosaarirock. I was first introduced to them by Nem Mora in my roulette errrrm... four years ago, I've been listening them sometimes for about a year, and mostly songs off Bilateral. I first thought I'd go see them, Devin Townsend Project and Between the Buried and Me in Helsinki last February, but it didn't happen. I almost didn't go to Ilosaarirock today, but made up my mind in the morning. I listened to couple of them newer songs from Live at Rockafeller in the morning, to see what songs they might be playing.

They were actually soundchecking 10 minutes before the show, I don't know why, maybe the organizers fucked up or something. The set was great, versatile (I have the set list, I'll post a pic at the end of this post) and very intense. Einar is an amazing frontman. They were really dressed for the occasion, all guys were wearing dress shirts (the drummer was shirtless before the set was halfway through though :D). I knew most of the songs they were playing, thanks to my morning prep session, highlights for me were Forced Entry, The Cloak and Slave, which was an amazing closing song. Rewind was a bit shorter version, and Slave might have been, I'm not sure. The new song From the Flame is pretty cool, proggy verses and a big chorus.

Here's the setlist:

E: It was actually MoraWintersoul who sent me Bilateral in my roulette, not Nem.

Awesome setlist and pretty similar to the one played at Be Prog! My Friend. Glad they have Mb. Indifferentia and Forced Entry in rotation. Echo was a pleasant surprise as well.

Wonder why they don't play some other songs from The Congregation. Third Law and The Price could easily be swapped for something they don't play / haven't played yet.

I've seen them play every song from the Congregation, apart from Triumphant, Within My fence and Lower and those are all songs they have never played. I wouldn't be surprised if it stays that way, especially with Lower.

That's so shame because those songs are my favourites from the album, Triumphant could be so killer live!

First review I've seen of the new album:

leprous release a good album, sky is blue, water is wet etc

when you shake things up a little (but not too much) every album it's hard to write a bad album bcuz you have to put in effort every time and it's fresh every time

Stuck is another good song, even if I prefer From The Flame after these first two listens, but I'm worried about the change of style. I remains very little of the style that made them my favourite band.

I fail to hear the "progressive rock" in the new single. As average as songs come.

I really like Stuck. Quite confused by the negative reaction (not here, on other sites I visit).
