I had Hulu+ for a while. Never enough shit on there for me to justify keeping my membership.

I didn't think Hulu+ had a good movie selection.

Hulu + is honestly pretty awful.  I strongly support the choice of Netflix
The media, on the whole, behaves like a malicious, retarded kid with ADHD.

Hey guys Netflix still has a DVD shipping service. Remember? I feel like everyone is overlooking this since they popularized their instant streaming a lot more in the past two years.
I felt its length in quite a few places.

I have neither, but I would go with Netflix personally.

Somewhat related question, anyone have experience with the Amazon Instant video thing?

I use plain old Hulu and think it's great. Hulu+ basically just gives you older episodes and HD versions of a lot of shows. It's worth checking out if you're tired of Netflix. $8 or something is all you'd be out.

The only reason I am considering hulu+ is so I can watch stuff on my iPad and PS3.

ONe thing that I found when I was looking into getting Hulu+ was that most of the shows I wanted to watch aren't offered in HD or on mobile devices. Just becuase Hulu has it doesn't mean you'll be able to view it on your iPad if you get Hulu+.

Hulu+ member here

Hulu+ is great for watching entire series of older shows, or less popular ones. Tosh.O, Ugly Americans, Psych, Monk, Bones, etc. all have every episode on Hulu+. The movie selection is very weak and confusing. If you like watching popular shows, it's good to catch up the week or two after they come out. Generally when House, Lie to Me, etc are running you can generally catch up on the entire season as it is. The sad thing is you can't watch previous seasons.

That's kind of like what all the good streaming services in the UK are like.

You can catch up on all the episodes of currently popular TV shows that you've missed within the last 2 weeks (or something) and that's, quite often, it (these are all free).

We do have a streaming service that you pay for that's kind of like Netflix but it sucks. All the good stuff is pay per view so even if you pay for the streaming service, you still have to pay for stuff on top of it.

The other thing is, when I use Netflix, there have been times I have spent a half hour looking for something to watch. I don't like most of the TV shows, and I have only heard of like 5% of the movies on it. I almost never watch movies by myself. For some reason I get bored and easily distracted. I tend to watch tv shows more than anything. Hulu seems to have a good selection, and if it sucks, I can just cancel my subscription. Its irritating when trying to see what the + service has to offer. All you can do is browse the TV shows, you can't search for anything.

Edit*

Just noticed that hulu+ has 51 episodes of Nova... I'm sold.

Edit**

Why do some shows get taken down on certain dates? I'd like to finish season two of The League. I just checked to see if I buy +, would I be able to view it on my ipad/console. It said I would not be able to (which I don't understand. I can watch it on the free version of the site, but not the one I am forced to pay for?) and also said they will be taken down Sept 8.

It is related to when the season ends normally

Netflix by far. Their instant streaming is slowly getting there. Currently watching Weeds.

Fuck! It has the movie (the older one), but it has the TV shows?! That'll be after Weeds then!

Yep. So did they put Fight The Future back up for streaming again or are you referring to the DVDs by mail?

A few months ago I watched the older one online...I never do anything by DVD except one time I did (since my roommate actually pays for Netflix and he does the DVD's all the time)

Same here. But then I ended up buying both movies for cheap just recently. We just started Season 5. It's amazing how much I've missed from this show. It's nice to be able to watch it like it's new. Gonna watch Fight The Future again but with my girlfriend this time after Season 5.

When was the last time you watched something other than Avatar?
