9. maudlin of the Well - Bath

It took me a solid 5 plus years for this album to truly click for me. I was first recommended maudlin of the Well years ago, tried Bath, liked it but never really came back to it. This went on for a few more years until it recently clicked with me hardcore. The genius that it takes to create an album like this is truly staggering. There is not a single track that does not blow me away in some form or another, and every song on the album has a story that goes along with it, where I can specifically recall a moment in my life when I was listening to the song and said to myself "Damn this is fucking good." Most of the other albums that Driver has made don't come close to Bath, because Bath is truly something that is unique and legendary in its own right.

Favorite Songs: "Girl With a Watering Can", "Geography", "The Ferryman"

I still need to hear it but I'm sure I'll love it. Seems right up my alley.

well idk some people consider it a full album

Is that allowed?  It was definitely released as an EP...

(8 tracks at 38 minutes... I think that qualifies)

8. Mew - Frengers

One of the best pop albums ever written. Mew literally has the perfect blend of pop, shoegaze and indie. Comforting Sounds is probably my favorite songs of all time, and every other track never fails to make me sing along at the top of my lungs. Easily one of my most played albums since I've discovered it, and it never feels old or tired, always fresh and new. Not enough nice things I could say about it.

Favorite Songs: "Comforting Sounds", "156", "Am I Wry? No", "She Came Home For Christmas"

Gorille85

Great band! Haven't heard that particular album though.

The fact that She Came Home For Christmas isn't listed as one of your favorite songs makes you a terrible human being.

Album owns though.

The only thing I enjoy more than Frengers is pleasing myself anally via the prostate.
