What are your favorite Metal bands?

Just curious to see what the forum's general taste of metal is (prog-metal included), instead of the various other genres which get discussed a lot here. For me... (disregarding DT)

In no particular order:

Agalloch
Opeth
Between the Buried and Me
Pain of Salvation
Tool

There's also a couple that are close to being considered metal, but that I consider to be on the other side of the line.
So if there's a band or an artist I haven't listed, it's probably because of that.

Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath (Both Dio and Ozzy eras), Nightwish, Opeth, Metallica, Tool, Relocator

There are probably one or two more I can't remember at the moment.

Type O Negative, Opeth, Agalloch, Death, Pain of Salvation, Isis, Edge of Sanity.

I also like industrial metal such as Ministry and KMFDM.

Straight metal - Iron Maiden, Death, Mastodon, Nevermore, and Trivium. That's really it. Almost every other metal band I listen to is progressive in one way or another.

Megadeth, Maiden, and Sabbath

I like some others, like Voivod, and was really into lots of random thrash metal and power metal last year, but most of it has no appeal whatsoever, anymore.
