Really enjoying At The Gates - At War With Reality. Besides the music I think it's one of the coolest album titles i've heard.

I'm looking forward to picking this one up.  I was never a big At the Gates fan, mainly just from lack of checking them out fully, but what I've heard from this new one sounds solid.

Cool!  :metal Be sure to check out Slaughter Of The Soul if you haven't. The good thing is that their disco ain't that expansive given they haven't released anything in 19 years.  :lol

I actually have that on cd somewhere, but that's the only album of their that I have.  I will definitely have to find it a give it a spin.

I hope that Loomis gets some creative input - him writing for Alyssa would surely be something awesome.

Listening to the new Soilwork EP, loving what i am hearing! :metal

I just don't understand why My Nerves, Your Everyday Tool and Forever Lost In Vain didn't make it to the album.

How did I mis Insomnium's, 'Shadows Of The Dying Sun'?

I own a couple of their previous CD's, so I'm glad I saw this included in a best of 2014 list and checked it out.

I'd pay that.  Hoping JB might stock it though.  They had TLI out on the release date.

Soilwork, Momentary Bliss live from DVD

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3RsAF6r3gQw

Seems like quite a few overdubs, especially with Speed's cleans, but that was to be expected.  They aren't the sharpest live.

Necrobumping just to say that Disarmonia Mundi's Cold Inferno is one of my favorite albums of the year so far. It might even be my second favorite album from them right after Fragments of D-Generation. These people are riff-making machines.  Magma Diver = :2metal:

Nah, unfortunately. But the vocal delivery is still quite good. Had Björn been in this album it would be my favorite DM album already :lol

Not bad, on first listen though I'm not really all that amazed either, if it was on part 1 it would probably be one of my least favorites of the album. I usually prefer the ones with mixed vocals anyway so the all-harsh vox might be what causes me to not like it too much.

I like that they are mixing it up and doing a couple of tunes with full growls.  Breaks up the formula a bit.

Nightmares Part II, is pretty solid.
The pre release songs didn't do a lot for me, but the album is going to get better with each play.
The heavy songs are their, but there are more melodic and progressive songs on the album that are more my thing.

Was wondering if anyone knew MyGrain here and... well, they appear in the very first post of this thread :) Too bad they split up last year, but I still recommend the last two records.

I have Into the Parallel Universe. Couldn't tell you where I got it from and I've only listened a few times. Will give it another go and report back.

To clarify, those are songs and not album titles. Into the Parallel Universe is off the self-titled album.

Wow, Nightmares in the Waking State pt. 2 is so good! I'm feeling the single a lot better right now aswell, but the switch-offs between clean and harsh are still the thing I love most about this band. The ending of "Built on Sand" is fantastic.
