Musician Eric Clapton announced Wednesday that his next album, Eric Clapton Plays The Blues, would be a collection of songs primarily influenced by blues music, a genre the 66-year-old guitarist said he enjoys very much. "I've always been interested in blues music, and this album will really explore that interest," Clapton told reporters, explaining that many of the new songs would feature long blues guitar solos, repeating 12-bar-blues chord structures, and lyrical themes centered around both getting and continuing to have the blues. "I'm fairly confident about the project, as I plan to sing with a sort of forlorn, bluesy quality in my voice, and I'll be playing a lot of E, A, and B chords, along with all the blue notes of the scale. Just pure and simple blues, really." Clapton later admitted that while each track would definitely be inspired by blues music, the final product might actually be more of a blues-rock album.
Gadough isn't Hitler. He's much, much worse.
But Kotow is right .
^That cracked me up too. He's always had bluesy tendencies though so this doesn't strike me as being all that "out there." Shit, Crossroads is 12-bar.What I really wanna know is if it'll have a cameo by Mashed Potatoes Johnson.
^Didn't know that but it doesn't change the fact that he's had blues permeate his style a fair bit over the years especially early on. The fact that he chose to cover a 12-bar song reinforces the notion that he's always dug and been influenced to some extent by blues.
Oh my bad I just read the quote but not the URL.

Orion....that's the one with a bunch of power chords and boringly harsh vocals, isn't it?
I decided to look up Mashed Potatoes Johnson on google to find out what standards were written by him that Clapton plagiarized and all I got was this stupid urbandictionary entry:https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=mashed%20potato%20johnson
They grow up so fast
