#1 is annoying me. I swear it looks familiar, but I have no idea what.

And I just realized the humor of me guessing 2 FPS games.

One of my favourite games ever.

Okay, all five of the remaining games were released before 1994.

2. Part of a difficult action game series.
7. As you can probably guess, it's a space shooter.
11. A beat-'em-up.
13. Cyberpunk.
21. Fantasy game with an unusual one word title.

11 - STREETS OF RAGE 2

Dangit, I even recall thinking Streets of Rage first off, but didn't think it was right.

2. Second game in its series. Originally an arcade game. It had a different name and cover in North America than it had in Europe/Australia. This is part of the North American cover.
13. Based on a non-video game RPG that takes place in the near-future. Probably the most obscure game in this picture.
21. Action role-playing platform-adventure. Its title may bring to mind a famous location, or a song.

Would it be cheating if I looked through a list of games on wikipedia and found one of them? Because I did, but it sort of feels like cheating. :lol

It's okay to do that since it's proving to be difficult.

In that case-

13 - Shadowrun
21 - Faxanadu

Based solely on your clues and some random wiki'ing.

Crap, I came into the thread to post Faxanadu and I was damn proud of knowing that one!  Number 2 looks vaguely familiar to me, but I'm assuming it's not a game I ever owned because it's not really ringing any bells.

Number 2 looks familiar. I may not know the game, but it looks familiar either way. But everything I've thought of so far is not right.

I honestly didn't think 2 would be this hard. I've never played it myself, but the series isn't exactly obscure. Some of the other games in the series are more famous than this one, though.

Here's a massive hint. It was made by the same company that made 7 and 10.

Yeah, that's the arcade version. The NES port was called Super C in North America and Probotector II: Return of the Evil Forces in Europe/Australia.

It's done!
