I can understand the validity of those, but if you don't re-post the picture and put a caption on the picture, then it doesn't feel like we're really creating memes. Plus, they're just not as funny when all you have is text, and then you have to scroll back up and look at the picture. The Random Caption Game thread doesn't lag too much that I notice, and a lot of posts there re-post the original picture. I don't know -- this seems like a silly dispute to be having. Can we just let people do it however they want to do it?

That. Reading the text alone takes away any humor associated with the picture.

EDIT - Not to mention that the picture file sizes aren't big at all

1. Round leader creates a blank meme picture at memegenerator.net. (ex. https://memegenerator.net/Futurama-Fry/caption/84688)
2. Participants go to the site and type in their captions, generating a new picture.
3. Save the picture, and upload to an image hosting site. (ex. https://tinypic.com/)
4. Use the forum code to upload it here.

Not too difficult.

I tried making one one memegenerator and it kept rejecting my pictures. I got sick of it and realized I can do it myself just as easy.

Again, I was trying to make it easy for everyone to participate. If I'm at work I probably don't want to make one, just throw down a quick caption, and others probably feel the same.

Anyway, Zook wins the round. My g/f and I lost it last night when we saw it. Several other good ones I'll probably put on my facebook account as well. Good job people.

Although Scio's HeHe one was so awesome I made it my facebook profile photo.

This, people. Stop whining. It shouldn't be hard to just follow the original idea. We should all be working on only one pic at a time, so there should be no problem. You know what the pic is, just write your captions.
