Well, it is now time to determine DTF's favorite album of the 80s. We have the 11 winners below (there was a tie for 1987):
80s winners:
1980: Rush - Permanent Waves
1981: Rush - Moving Pictures
1982: Iron Maiden - The Number of the Beast
1983: Iron Maiden - Piece of Mind
1984: Iron Maiden - Powerslave
1985: Rush - Power Windows
1986: Metallica - Master of Puppets
1987: Guns N' Roses - Appetite for Destruction
Pink Floyd - A Momentary Lapse of Reason
1988: Queensryche - Operation: Mindcrime
1989: Faith No More - The Real Thing
-Anyone voting here needs to list their five favorite of the 11 albums above.
-You MUST list five albums for your votes to count. The order does not matter. If you do not list five albums (no more, no less), your votes will not count.
-You can only vote for one of the 1987 albums. In other words, you cannot list both Floyd's A Momentary Lapse of Reason and GNR's Appetite for Destruction and have them be two of your five. If you do this, none of your votes will count.
-The four albums with the most votes of the 11 will then move on to the semifinals. The album with the most votes of the four will face off against the album with the least amount of votes of the four in the semis, and then the other two will face off. If there is a tie for some reason, the tiebreaker will be most votes garnered in the finals of the year the album originally won.
Voting will last approximately 2 1/2 days. I will let it run till late Monday afternoon/early evening.
EDIT: Also, if you go back in change your votes, please do it in the original post, instead of in a new post.
