Keep: Downfall (A short film I helped make)
« on: August 11, 2011, 08:19:35 PM »
Hey guys,
so I spent like the last month working on this short film with some of my younger friends from high school.
I did all the editing and music and stuff, and most of the stuff is Petrucci based (either his solo album, a little of DT, and some LTE), and the stuff that's not's still pretty cool. I thought somebody here might think it's rather neat.
Lemme know what you guys think! Constructive criticism is good.

Constructive criticism is good.
In that case, I'll post...

The major things that stuck out were:

1. The picture quality. I know not everyone can have thousand dollar cameras and whatnot, but I couldn't watch the whole thing because the coloration and clarity were so bad.

2. Sound, specifically the voices. You need a boom mic or at least a makeshift one with an external mic hanging off a broomstick or something.

3. It's cool that you want to show off Petrucci, but it didn't fit at all.

Sorry I unloaded a bunch of crap as the first response. Now, with those three things being said, I think any aspiring filmmaker has the potential to be good (except maybe Uwe Boll) because of the fact that there is an underlying creativity that gave them that spark and that passion for film-making.

Take my criticisms into consideration and use them to improve your future endeavors.
Listen! Do you smell something?
