Fucking Equius, really? I'm laughing. It's brilliant really. Caliborn+1/2 Gamzee+Equius+AR. Amazing formula. Also the fact that he steals Jake's name, which his grandma took originally to scare the Condesce, who was afraid of Lord English. Time shenanigan stuff rocks.

I just have to say, IT OWNS ME COMPLETELY. is probably the funniest line in Homestuck.

Like, you have no idea how long I've spent just sitting here laughing at that line. (it was a long time, and continues to be a long time.)

Also, I've decided I'm not going to read any of Act 6 Act 6 Intermission 5 until it's complete, so see you guys in a couple months!

Truth be told, I'm kinda on the fence about this update. It kinda feels Deus-ex-machina-y/Mary-Sue-ish with regards to Vriska, and I can definitely understand some of the criticism that I've read on the MSPA forums.

However:

- Hussie has yet to disappoint me
- In conversation with Caliborn about Trickster Mode and Mario, he showed the importance that character growth has for him (well, more like spelled it out) and that he thinks that and immediate solution that just kinda happened isn't what he wants
- This is Vriska's instagram, so it makes sense that it would portray in the most positive light possible, which is why I suspect there being a strong narrative bias going on here

Therefore, I'm going to await further updates to really come to a conclusion. I'm sure that Hussie will wrap it up in a satisfactory way.

It might just be because I haven't really been a long-time member of the Homestuck fandom, but as of now, the amount of people condemning Vriska seems a lot higher than during past incidents, and I don't see many people defending her actions at all.

Yeah! And the appearance of Rosesprite to the throw all previous expectations out the window. i see that many people are still convinced that this isn't going to the be the final timeline. I honestly don't think Hussie would ditch a timeline again, but who knows!

Also, Vriska shouldn't be worried about people touching the sprites, John high fived his sprite in the first act and Kanaya's sprite but her hand and her shoulder.

So the question is, how much shit will hit the fan once the fighting starts? We know something is going to go wrong, if nothing else because having everything go happy and right just isn't the Homestuck style. I really hope that Vriska doesn't have this hero complex where she sacrifices herself to save everyone. Someone else besides Vriska needs to step up. As much as I like her, having her presence be the soul reason why everyone wins in the end is kind of awful.

I don't think that that's going to happen, but I think it would fit Vriska's character pretty well to die, but not as a sacrifice, but because of a mistake that she made or a foe that she wrongfully deemed as irrelevant.

I'm interested in seeing where Vriska is planning on going that's so important that she has to miss the battle against the Condesce and the Jack-Off.

Same. This is something I've been waiting for for years. It's satisfying to finally get some real talk with the Striders. For a while it seemed like Hussie was outright avoiding/mocking deep character discussion/interaction. Hopefully he keeps this kind of stuff up.

I think that he has been pretty good with judging when to psyche and when not to, but I was still afraid with every new page I clicked that something would happen to drag it into the comical, and I'm glad that I was wrong.

Also I think that the weird pacing of A66I5 will definitely benefit from archive reading.
