Dr. Pepper has been given to me as a Christmas present. My love for Dr Pepper is well known at work and home

I love Pepsi. I could have one everyday, but I refrain from doing so because its horrible in so many ways. I did have one last night and it was divine!
In general I don't drink it.

I never got Pepsi. I was never too huge into Coke either, but I would always choose Coke over Pepsi. Almost everyone knew, though, loved Pepsi.
Pepsi is all sweetness. There's no depth to the flavor. Coke is far superior. I never drink either one, though, because they're basically death in a can.

Late to the party on this, but...

Few things are better with a hangover or indigestion than a cold Coke Classic.

I love Dr. Pepper, Ginger Ale and black cherry soda.

Having said that, I rarely drink it, as the sugar is ridiculous.  I quit coffee cold turkey back in November, and I notice I cheat with soda more than ever, though I'm conscious of it and am trying to cut down again.

I personally think soda is evil, and DIET soda is the devil incarnate.    I get that it's not entirely rational, and studies are inconclusive on this point so far, but I am totally and utterly convinced that future generations will tie both increases in cancer and obesity to the explosion of diet drinks.  It's just a can of chemicals.    I'd much rather drink water, or if I need that "palate cleanser", a glass of wine or seltzer with a hit of vodka and a splash of cranberry, pineapple, Fresca or ginger ale.

At the moment - Soda water is my go to for acid reflux. Antacid doesn't do a damn thing.

It used to be lemonade until i decided to stop having sugar and Soda Water has bicarbonate in which is Alkali if i'm not mistaken ?

Mcdonalds has the best fountain coke and the big straws.  I used to love that.

i personally don't believe diet soda makes you fat.  When I switched from regular to diet, I lost weight.  I think the studies that show that are flawed because people who drink diet still eat terrible foods.  Which was always something I got made fun of, me "I'll have the Big Mac meal with a diet coke" and my friend "Whats the point of the diet soda then?"  :lol  I do think the fake sugar is terrible, just in other ways.

Yeah that's always funny.

When fatties have a big greasy cooked breakfast *every day* - with extra meat and "no tomatoes or beans" - i.e. nothing remotely resembling a vegetable and they have a diet coke :lolpalm:

B*tch thats just like spitting on an inferno.

And that may well be; I'm not saying I'm right and you're wrong, it's just my perception.  But there's also the diabetes - or as Wilfred Brimley would say, dia-beat-is - issue.  Who knows, you know?   It's just my perception, and some of it is just that I don't think it tastes like soda.  :)

I am diabetic, diagnosed in 2000, and at the time, I drank Coke Classic morning day and night. I freaking LOVE soda.
After my diagnosis, I quit drinking soda cold turkey for a good 2-3 years. I started adding some diet sodas from time to time.

Nowadays, I drink a soda with lunch. I drink Coke Zero or if it's not available, Pepsi Max.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related

I only drink soda when I have pizza or pasta, which can vary from 1-3 times a week based on how well I am doing with my eating habits. :lol  And even then, it is only white soda (usually 7up).  I haven't had any dark soda since January 2000.

This still stands.  Now over 17 years since I've had any kind of dark soda.

I decided it was gross.  Granted, I never liked Diet or Dr. P, so the only dark soda I ever drank was Coke or Pepsi, but I am fine with a 7up once or twice a week.

Not my cup of tea.  I remember in Walt Disney Epcot there has soda around the world. It was cool to try so many emails different styles and what was popular in different countries.

Pepsi is paramount for me with pizza!
Coke vs. Pepsi...
For me its not even close. Pepsi is sweeter but a more clean flavor.  Coke is ok going down but to me has an awful taste on the back end. The aftertaste ruins it for me.

But everyone's buds are different.

I like both coke and pepsi. I just feel like pepsi is a little smoother and coke has a bite to it, which depending on mood I actually prefer

Love it!  I used to drink diet only, but I've been varying between regular and diet since I don't have diabetes (amazingly) and of the chemicals in diet soda.  I've also started drinking more natural soda like Zevia and Hansens.

My favorite is cherry pepsi.  I prefer pepsi to coke, coke is too sweet for me.

36 sugar lumps in it ?

Might as well ask you if youd prefer to lose your left or right foot.

Also 36 sugar cubes is about 6 cans of coke :lolpalm:

I assumed the picture meant how much sugar was in that sized soda.  Not that they add more sugar to it so 6 cans of coke seems about right for that sized container.

Oh I misunderstood.  I was like wow soda is already tons of sugar, and you are thinking people add more to it?!  :lol  Not that it would really surprise me.

I was also thinking of this when I saw that picture

One thing when I stopped drinking soda was that I increased my coffee consumption (need to feed my caffeine addiction).  I rarely drank any coffee a few years ago, now I do two cups a day usually.  I use sugar as well, but two packets of sugar which is nowhere close to what you see in those drinks.  So while I haven't stopped consuming sugar, the amount is so drastically smaller than compared to just one soda.

This is kind of strange because Pepsi has more sugar than Coke does.

I always preferred Coke to Pepsi when I drank it, but I wasn't against drinking Pepsi.

I had some fantastic barq's rootbeer from the fountain yesterday and it was exquisite. I am a massive fan of a good root beer.

1. Barqs
2. A&W
3. Mug
4. Stewarts (More expensive, but I'm just not that in to it)

If I were to rank them

IF I were to ever really drink soda, and I do not, root beer would be one of my top choices. And Barq's is easily the best of the major brands.

Jersey Mike's.  Stop, you're killing me.  There used to be one in my home town and I fell in love.   Now the closest one is about an hour away (at the casino, where I'm not usually going to eat hoagies).   When I travel for work, one of the offices I go to has one about a mile away, so I make it a point to have every lunch I can there.

Yeah, my sister swears by a fountain Sprite from McDonald's when she's hungover. And maybe a hashbrown, depending on how much faith she has in her stomach that morning.

Yeah that's always funny.

Yeah, I used to love when I was working at the ice cream parlour and and someone would get a big sundae with hot fudge and whipped cream, but with sugar free ice cream :lol

I probably only drink a handful of sodas a year these days, but when I do Coke Classic is my go to. When I drank soda regularly, Pepsi was something I'd have a couple times a year to change things up, but in general I found it too sweet. I also used to like making my own vanilla cokes when I was at work.
Photobucket sucks.
